This cover accomplishes two important things. First, it definitely takes the shine of the bright white paint off for wildlife photography use. Second, in very cold weather, I like holding the cloth sleeve rather than the metal of the Len's barrel. It is a good tight, snug fit. The directions call for patience when applying. Believe the directions!

Fit and look is great. As a wildlife photographer this will help to camouflage my white camera lens. After seeing other brands in the field frayed, I feel Roland Pro will out live the others. Money well spent IMO.

this was a very well made covering for my lens - fits great - the only draw back is that it is difficult to put on and instructions were in Chinese and some of the stick on part numbers fell off - no big deal but do take note of the part numbers as you have to put them on in order -

I dont write too many reviews in Amazon. But I feel bad when new companies like RolanPro got bad reviews because these covers are very hard to put it on. But that is the good thing about them. They fit like gloves in our lens and that is what we want, right ????Just use a plastic bag, cut both sizes and fit it around the lens, more or less and start sliding down one by one. Once you have one added, remove the plastic and do the next one.Is super easy to do and really fast. You dont need to fight with it :)Thanks to RolanPro for making so amazing covers

Ever wonder what that National Geographic photographer with the gigantic lens is using for camo and protection? This right here. Might be Chinesium but the Rolanpro covers are terrific. Mandatory accessory for our long lenses.

Beware! Do not use the included section for when the barrel on the 200-800 is extended. As soon as I put this on and then removed it I noticed tons of tiny black fibers sticking to my lens barrel. These are pieces of the Velcro that holds this section of the lens cover together and they will go inside your lens when you retract the lens barrel! We all know that will result in a massive repair bill.Other than that critical flaw, I'm giving this cover 3 stars - maybe even 2. It appears good quality and goes on well with some patience, but the manufacturer is just not being honest. There are gaps between the panels where rain will just seep right in, so in no way is this waterproof. The fit of the piece that goes around the tripod foot is so-so. This cover is for camouflaging your lens or protecting it from scratches, but offer no amount of protection from rain or water. It could actually make that worse by trapping moisture against your lens if it does get into the gaps between the panels.I won't be buying this brand again unless a lens doesn't have an extending barrel. I was ready for the inconvenience of the Velcro on section. I was not ready for it to almost ruin my lens. It's an extremely poor design choice and you have been warned! Attaching a photo where you can see the tiny flecks of Velcro material on my lens barrel before I wiped them up.

I put this immediately on as protection for bumps and such. It fits snuggly on and the instructions include a numbered system. There is no enghlish text, but it is not necessary, it is super simple to figure out in which order to put it on. One needs to just be careful with the cutouts so you line them up from teh sart. then you wiggle it down. In contrast to some other L lenses this one does not require to use a plastic sheet to get over the rubber grips. You just wiggle them patiently in place.

Seems like very high quality material. The fit is very snug (as it should be) and takes a bit of fiddling to get it right. Should help protect from dings, dust, and abrasions. Two minor issues, however. The piece that velcros on the lens barrel when it's extended to maximum length does not retract when you change to a lower focal length. It's essentially useless. I used a carefull applied vinyl wrap on that part and it extends and retracts perfectly. Secondly, the piece which wraps around the entire foot of the rotating collar needs to be removed if you plan on using a quick release mounting plate for a tripod or monopod. It was easy to modify and I feel the mounting plate is more secure without a thick layer of fabric between it and the foot.I definitely recommend the Rolandpro

Warning! Do not put the tension of your zoom too high or after a month the part that allows you to zoom will slip out of its position and you will have to constantly put it back in its place which makes it less effective. This product is a lot better than Lenscoat, it is well cut and fit like a glove.

This is well made made from quality, durable neoprene. The instruction for fitting a simple and clear and the fit is perfect. Some of the sections were a bit of a pig to fit, but this is due to the nature of the product. It is designed to add weatherproofing and camouflage to a lens so it need to be snug.I have not tested this in the rain yet, but I have no doubt it will offer adequate protection. As for value for money, £108 seems like a lot for a neoprene cover, but when you consider it is protecting a £2000+ lens it seems money well spent. I am very happy with this product.
