First of all, you have to push the button HARD to have the wheels pop out and go back in, that’s why there’s all the videos of people hitting them with the shoe to pop them out. Second, because it’s not normal shoes it can feel a little weird to walk on when you put the wheels back in. If you’re not used to or never worn wedges (chunky heels) of any kind. They are heavier than you might think, and it’s definitely because of the wheels and mechanisms in the shoe.However, I love them. I’ve only been roller blading once, and this brought back so many memories of it. The wheels holds my weight and I am over 200lbs, so you know they can hold normal people. I did have a little problem with one of the shoes constantly popping the wheels out and unable to lock it, it just helped to stomp your foot and then I could lock it and no longer had it pop out. The locking mechanism definitely works.

They're good skates but they came in frayed and with the plastic broken within an hour. I liked how sturdy the retract mechanics are. I like the skate just disappointed in the quality they came in. Luckily theyre working with me on a claim to replace them. Very nice company good skates just buy the protection plan to be safe.

I bought these for my 10 year old daughter. These skates are great because my daughter usually rides her bike to her friends house and she can wear these as shoes on her bike ride, and then just pop the wheels out to start skating rather than having to bring shoes to change into. I had seen a lot of reviews saying these skates run small so I went up one full size and they fit perfectly! The LED lights are bright, there are several color and blinking options to choose from, and the battery life on the lights is great! I would recommend getting a metal shoehorn if you buy these skates because it made it a lot easier for my daughter to put them on. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase!

The shoes work great on extremely flat surfaces (I.e. tennis court or like my fiance, Target). Does not work great on the road or a side walk. Also the quality of the shoes leaves a little to be desired. After a couple of kicks to get the wheels out, the shoes already are showing damage.

Upon first opening the skates I found that only one of the shoes worked to release the wheels. After attempting the recommended troubleshooting methods I had tried to return and buy a new pair only to find the same problem in both shoes.The actual shoes seemed sturdy enough, true to size, and the lights turned on.
