Seems like a lot to pay for a big wooden dowl, but its worth it in my opinion. Our first use was to roll out pasta dough and it did a really good job. It's nice and wide so it covered a large area. Its got enough girth and weight to make the rolling out job go quickly and easily. Its quite maneuverable and effective. The slightly rough surface holds just enough flour so that the pin didn't stick to the dough.

Works as it should. Nice straight rolling pin. I use it mostly for making croissants, have not been disappointed yet. Very happy with this, it was a great price.

This wooden rolling pin was what I was looking for. The wood has a nice, straight grain, so I don't expect any bowing. Also, the PME Large Rolling Pin Guide Rings fit this rolling pin very well. Looking forward to happy cookie baking!

Honestly I have not had a chance to use it as yet. However, I did own a rolling pin shaped like this for many years and it some how disappeared. It was difficult to store in a drawer so when we cleaned out the drawer and reorganized I think we got rid of it. When the time came to do our holiday family cookie bake I was bereft! Now I have a place to store it on a top shelf where it fits flat in front of other things. It is okay to clean but sometimes I worry the wood will eventually wear away if I scrub too much but the old one did last for many years. (did not use too often, only yearly) It's the VERY best way to roll out cookie dough or just about anything else. Also good for flattening chicken breasts or various meat you want to flatten.

I'm a senior and gripping the old rolling pin just wasn't comfortable for me anymore, but this one is great and easier for me to use. Quality is very good.

I used to use a regular rolling pin with handles to roll dough, but it just wasn’t long enough for rolling dough for cinnamon buns. Needed something longer to roll out dough to the length and width I needed. This is perfect.
