It is wallpaper adhesive that you mix. I have been using this product many years. I was a paperhanger for 23 years. I used this on light wallpapers and murals. Used it where it as pre-pasted or not. Important to read the instructions.

I had found some old grass cloth wallpaper in the attic when we moved into our home a couple years ago. I had the perfect wall to use a small bit of it, but needed a good paste to put it up. This did the job and we haven't had any issues.

For our small wallpaper project (less than 50 square feet) there was no need to make a batch containing 1.5-2 gal of paste. Instructions do not provide guidance for small batches. While we made only a half batch, with approximate adjustments, and followed instructions (cold water) on waiting prior to use, the consistency was not-nearly-thick-enough. Wallpaper was failing to adhere to wall in some spots. After mixture sat overnight, (8hrs +) in cool garage, the paste mix appeared to be appropriately thickened and ready to use. Room temp for mix & application: 70 degrees. If you work with stuff all the time, you know what to expect. If you’re a DIY’er be forewarned.

I’ve been using this product for many, many years. You can only find it online mow. I love that it can stay on a shelf for years until you need it. Then you mix it yourself and you can control the amount you need and the thickness you want. Great quality. Pleasant smell. Easy to mix and use. Easy cleanup. Great value for the money.

Received sizing in a carton that appeared to have been around for a long time. Read all instructions on the carton. Noting that package was warranteed for one year from manufacturing. Trouble is. There was no date code stamped or embossed on its carton. Prepares sizing per manufacturers spec. What I got was a viscous solution (good!) With dozens and dozens of clotted product (Not Good!!). No amount of stirring or even squishing of these clots would render them usable for the wall paper prep. When it comes to wall paper sizing, Caviot Emptor!

I had fabric I wanted to use as wallpaper. I tried using fabric starch as in YouTube videos. Complete failure. I had already ordered this product just in case. I mixed one box with one gallon of water. Thicker than recommended. (I could have thinned it out if necessary). This product was fantastic. Easily applied to wall with paint brush. Excellent adhesion, and work time. Held fabric in place without any fasteners. Wall is not smooth and had texture. Fabric stuck to wall without any bumps, used wallpaper smoother and my hand. Dried clear not white. Used extra Teknabond on seams to stick down, and match seams. Wallpaper was going to be over $2,000 for metallic. The fabric was $50 and the glue $10. Hung fabric like wallpaper. My friends are impressed and jealous of my high fashion designer wall. This project smoked any HGTV or YouTube videos as far as being much user friendly. I only used 1/2 box for a 12x14 wall. Amazing product for custom work.

A little goes a very long way, and it works very well. The ideal way to mix this is to put a little warm water in a large bowl, then very slowly sprinkle the powder over the water as you vigorously stir with a whisk or fork. When it dissolves, sprinkle more over the surface as you stir it in again. You can also add a little more warm water as needed, continuing to add and whisk until you eventually have the right amount and consistency. I think it works best when it has the consistency of pudding. Some people prefer to put the paste on the paper, but I prefer putting the paste on the wall, making sure to not be too skimpy and to not miss any spots. When the paper is in the right position on the wall, I use a damp cloth to firmly press in the center and wipe outward in both directions up and down the paper until eventually every bubble is gone.
