For the fairly modest price of this gi the fit, quality and finish is out of this world. You could easily spend 2-3x the amount for a gi that is no better than this one. The weight is exactly what I needed, the length of the sleeves had to be altered (shortened) a little, but only because of my preference. When I focus on using proper kime in my upper body techniques, this gi will sound off with a very resounding snap like what I hear while watching The Karate Nerd episodes on YouTube (Sorry Jesse, I can’t afford your brand of gear but I know it’s also great) 😎🥋 Seriously though, buy this brand of gi. My ONLY gripe is I was thinking these gis were made in the USA, mine was made in Pakistan. But they ARE based in USA (Brooklyn, NY). 🇺🇸 ðŸ™ðŸ»

New pants. It was time the last set was worn out from classes, tournaments, and testing. The new one's I expect to last as long. Nice and heavy.

Fit is big , but I did not cold wash it yet because I am going to a tailor to hem the arm cuffs to a desirable length. I like the baggy tournament feel fit especially rocking a 12oz. heavyweight gi knowing that I would have vent my body heat that would resonate during training. I originally bought the Shia i blue label in a size 5 and had it washed. I noticed it shrunk a few inches in all directions. Slightly regret buying that size. Better to buy larger then scale down from there, either by cold wash and a good tailor.

Great and strong material. Size 5 was too long for me. It made it all the way to my knees. Excellent for a 6 feet tall individual.

Perfectly designed and well made. The heavy weight is great and everyone in my karate class wanted the information on how to buy. I highly recommend

This gi came with multiple creases across both arms that I am unable to iron out. The material on the front and back puckers even after ironing. It is a wrinkled mess. I am embarrassed to wear it. I would not recommend this gi to anyone, unless you like wearing clothes that look like something the hamper threw up. Attached is a picture right after it was ironed.

Love doing katas in this gi top. Heavyweight for real. It’s a bit rough feeling but pops! I washed it around 5 times since writing this review and it shrunk a little. Fit is big compared to other gi’s I’ve used so I sized down one. I’m 6ft tall 200 pounds. People call me a “big guy†whatever that means. Using size 5 perfect. Very comfortable gi top. Wrinkles pretty bad in the washing machine. My dryer has a wrinkle release setting and that takes out 90% of the wrinkles.

The quality and weight of fabric was great.I ordered size 3 jacket and size 3 and 4 pants and I chose them based on weight rather than height. Jacket and size 4 pants fit great and with enough room for movement. However, being all cotton I’m sure they will both shrink so I will not use a dryer to dry them. I promptly returned the size 3 pants and had a full refund within 2 days, so great customer service as well.

I thought the weight was okay but the jacket went down halfway to my knees. I wasn't convinced that shrinking would make it fit better as it was already just a perfect size around my chest and waist.
