The product is nailed in. I removed the moss from the roof. It was easy to install.Just waiting to make sure moss doesnt come back

I used this product on my house roof a couple years back and this time on my garage roof. It's working well, as my house is one of the only homes in thje neighborhood without moss on the North side of the roof.

My asphalt shingles were replaced 8 years ago and my north-facing roof was starting to develop black mold. After removing the mold I installed strips of this along (just under) the ridge cap, just as I did on my old roof. It keeps the mold in check and lasts as long as the life expectancy of premium asphalt shingles. But I highly recommend having your roofer install this when applying a new roof (which I forgot to do!). I can only speculate that most of the zinc rolls sold out there are all rebranded, so it becomes a matter of price, which they are mostly within a few dollars of each other. The biggest difference was I get free shipping with Prime and the competitors (building supply companies) soak you on the shipping. So this review is only applicable for my intended use and I didn't use it for any other purpose.

We live in the Pacific Northwest. A roof section that is always shaded by our trees always had moss growing that I had to clean every spring. I put a zinc strip along the drip line of the roof, and no more moss.

Ok it works for a year but it turns out the roof darkness comes from jet soot raining down so I had to pay a guy to use other chemicals to really clean the roof.
