We traveled 3000 miles and it held up great. The weather went from sunshine, to rain, to snow, to -23f. After seeing the reviews I decided to put my luggage in plastic bags, however, everything remained mostly dry with just some light moisture inside, but it was -23 so I can't expect perfection. Overall it did the job that I wanted and I was very happy with it.

The rooftop cargo carrier comes packaged in a small bag that deceptively carries a lot of storage power. The bag contains everything needed to get going quickly, and I really mean quick. There is no need for anything extra. The instructions are clear and complete. The carrier is constructed of a heavy-gauge rubber that is reinforced in areas where necessary, such as at corners and tie points. The carrier comes with a pad to place on the roof and protect the vehicle from scratching. It might be best to clean and dry the roof first to minimize the potential for scratches. The carrier has zippers, velcro, and secure seams that indicate it is constructed to ensure the elements don’t affect your cargo. The quality of this carrier seems to be top notch.Opening and placing the carrier on the roof is straightforward, but the directions say it should be loaded first. Depending on your situation loading partially and finishing once the carrier is placed atop the vehicle might be a better option. The carrier has an admirable amount of storage and can be adjusted to match the size of the cargo. Loading and putting on the vehicle should be relatively easy.Attaching the carrier to the vehicle is also easy. The manufacturer provides six hooks that attach to the metal edges of the vehicle just below the rubber molding at the door frame – DO NOT ATTACH TO THE WINDOW. Read the directions for the best information on installation, but it is easy, taking less than five minutes. Once the filled carrier is attached to the clips, the carrier can be tightened down and secured to the roof. The carrier is just as easy to remove and store. This is a functional and well-constructed option for maximizing your storage options when traveling by vehicle.Although the photos don’t show the carrier full of cargo, this is because I have no trips planned in the next few weeks, but when one is planned, this will be used to carry our cargo.

This rooftop carrier is superior to many in the quality of it and the way that it straps to the roofline and the ease to which you’re able to put it on and off and reach your items that are inside. Great for all weather journeys.

this is what we needed for our road trips to the gulf coast. it was adjustable and gave me no issues with my early 2000's minivan stock roof rack.

These pictures were taken after a +2000 miles trip. They fit perfectly on top of my Ford Explorer. During a stop at our destination, I used a self-service car wash to remove the dead bugs, and there was no water leakage to our luggage. Depending on your vehicle, the installation could be either easy or difficult. It took me about 30 to 45 minutes to fully install, including securing the luggage. I consider it to be of moderate difficulty to install. One thing I wish it had is clips to hold the strips in place, as they kept making noise while driving until we could stop and tie them up. The quality is very high, and there's no doubt it will withstand snow and rain. Overall, I recommend this product, and I suggest adding clips or considering purchasing them separately to secure the loose strips.

This rooftop carrier added a lot of extra space for our road trip. It’s rugged, and the waterproof design held up well through rain without any leaks. Installation was straightforward with the hooks and mat, though tightening the straps required a bit of effort. It’s been a practical solution for carrying bulky items like camping gear and extra luggage.

This is a nice quality car top carrier. A nice feature is that a non-slip mat is included to help hold the carrier to the roof of your car (we didn't use it because our car had a roof rack). It has a good amount of space in it and the fabric of the bag is thicker. We didn't use it in the rain so I can't speak to how waterproof it is. The only slight concern is that the straps seem like they might rip after a lot of use, but that's not enough of a concern to keep from giving it a 5 star rating.

This is a very good size for a Prius with no roof racks. It's made of - and smells like - the same sort of heavy waterproof vinyl plastic a large aboveground pool is made of. It isn't the easiest thing to load, as there is only one opening on one of the two shorter sides. On the other hand, the zippers are very heavy duty and the opening is protected by a thick yellow flap. Altogether it is quite weatherproof, especially if you keep the zippered end pointing away from oncoming rain. I am paranoid, and lock the zipper closed with a tiny padlock to prevent my stuff spilling all over the highway, but honestly it's not necessary. It holds quite a bit. Because of the way it loads I would still load it first and lift it up secondly, if possible, but if you can't you can't. I estimate it holds about as much as three blue totes, although of course how much you fit in will depend on how squishy it is. But especially for big items like sleeping bags/clothes/ blankets - stuff that takes up a bunch of room but isn't very heavy - this works GREAT. The door hooks are easy enough once you realize where they go (read the instructions and see picture) and it isn't complicated to thread the tiedowns through the loops. I did have trouble tightening them, though, and ended up having to pull the strap completely out. On the whole, I am pleased :)
