This is a good deck for Rook or any version of it. I like Rook Black 7. Fun game! There were extra cards in this deck too!

Love ROOK, love this price! Every year I get several sets of Rook cards because we all play and we always are needing some at a moment's notice. IE when you run across another couple who just happens to know how to play Rook, you don't let that kind of opportunity slip by. YOU PLAY ROOK! And you see if they know about the red 2 version....Get you some. Learn the regular rules, play, then find out about the red 2. Ha. Made that sound way more mysterious than it is. : ) But it's fun. Addictive fun. Buy two sets. You'll see.

This review I'm writing is for the version of Rook you see in the picture for this listing. I do not understand why people are complaining. You have to understand that just because an item has a review, doesn't mean the person put any real thought into it. They often don't tell you things specifically like if it was bought from one of the second-hand listings, for instance, which is why they might act like they're reviewing any ordinary store-bought product when they shouldn't be. Mine was the one pictured that was brand new from the retailer on Amazon, not second-hand. Also, the pictures are meaningless. One guy shows what are supposedly badly cut edges but mine was not like that. The material is no worse than what you get with other popular games like Uno or Phase 10, and is roughly the same size as those cards, therefore they are not 'too small'. They will obviously wear down over time like everything does, but I'm certain they'll always be cheap and easy to get, so you won't break the bank when time comes to replace them. I received 60 cards in my package, which means all 57 mentioned (14 for each of the 4 colors, and one Rook) plus three "Discard" cards. That is not a mistake but intentional. Nothing wrong with this set. Yes, manufacturer defects happen from time to time, but this is not what happened with the item I received and am happy with. Go ahead and order it from Amazon themselves.
