The Roosebeck Dulcimer 5 String Set contains 4 plain steel strings and one nickelplated steel wound on steel string. The strings are designed to provide a bright, rich tone. All of the strings have ball ends. The first and second (unwound A and D) courses have double strings tuned in unison.

I had recently bought a mountain dulcimer, and followed the Sellers instructions and replaced the strings immediately. As soon as I opened the package of strings I could see the tarnish/rust/rot, or what ever it was on the strings. Having cut the other set I strung the dulcimer with these. Two broke as I tuned it up. Not happy with purchase. Do not recommend.
