Great quality. I will only be using these from now on. They’re not susceptible to mold and my seeds are happy in them. The size fits perfectly inside my Gardyn yCubes. In my opinion they’re better than the rockwool that initially comes in Gardyn yCubes. They absorb water evenly and the slit allows for easy seed absorption. The pockets are deep enough to put multiple seeds in. A must

Fits my Lush Oasis just fine but not having a success at germination. Tried Mexican Sunflower with no luck, not sure it is the sponges or seeds.

I got into gardening during COVID and have been growing vegetables in my backyard. My success rate has been a hit and miss. Very excited to find this root starting plug. They are bigger after soaking it for half an hour or so and stayed firm in that shape (I ended up soaking if overnight because I started at night and waited till the next day to do the planting so my 7-year old daughter can do it with me). The groove opens easily and big. We can easily hand drop the seeds in. Just planted some cilantro, chives and cherry (!). Eager to see how long it will take to root.

I just tried these for the first time with a dozen different types of flowers and vegetables and they work so much better and easier than rockwool! Nearly every seed I’ve planted in these came right up in a couple days and developed roots way faster than rockwool ever did for me.

Soil plug fits its perfectly in my VEVO hydroponics, absorbs water well, has a perfect size crease to insert seeds into and ph is well balanced.

Does not hold the seeds very well. The top opening stays open and seeds work their way out.
