Size 14 was a good fit for my athletic 12 year old (5’1â€, 100 lb). The material is a nice thickness, and the top has light padding. It’s very cute and stylish.

Cute spring break/summer suit bought for 12 year old.Gets lot so compliments on colors/style.Size 12 fits slightly small/like a glove. She's 85 lbs and 5'2", tall and slim. It will likely not be something she can wear past her current size. If in doubt, order size up in Roxy.It is a slightly slimmer/higher hip cut in the rear that we don't love, but the suit stays in place during swimming and active watersports & volleyball and does not show anything off inappropriately.Only complaint: Wore this immediately after purchase on a spring break trip. The suit pilled up a bit from sitting on concrete pool side (not too noticeable, but would have liked that not to happen at the Roxy price point), and it took some effort to get salt/sand out of the fabric when we were able to get home and more thoroughly wash it.Overall, a great suit that should last for a full summer at the lake/beach/pool.

Read previous reviews & most were saying bottoms run a little small so I bought a size up (14) for my niece who is usually a teens 12 on average (depending on brands) and she has a long slender figure & is tall for her age but also quite skinny. Possibly didn't actually need to go up a full size for her as bottoms & top both have same fit.She prefers it larger though because she doesn't like things fitting tight up on her chest so doesn't mind that the top neckline is a little loose. Everywhere else seems to fit good. Yet to see if they stay up/fitted when swimming!
