I have seen other gas griddles out there and have wanted one for some time. This one by Royal Gourmet was just the right size and fits our needs wonderfully. We "seasoned" the cooking surface much like you would season a cast iron frying pan. It helped tremendously to make the surface more non-stick. We have been cooking on it for a couple of weeks now. We have used it for chicken, steak, pork chops, burgers and our favorite, fried rice. We have yet to have a meal that was not simply amazing! It has three heating zones, and the griddle temperature varies slightly from one zone to the next. It only takes a few of times cooking on it to master the zones. I generally have a mild heat zone to move things to as I am "building" the dinner, a medium heat zone for slower steadier cooking, and a high temp zone for searing. You can adjust the temp zones to your liking with the three well-placed gas valves on the front of the griddle's base. And clean up is a breeze. It has a grease trap that the drippings and fluids drain into to get them off of your cooking surface. It comes with a cloth-like cover with an elastic band to protect the griddle during times when you are not using it. It also came with a recipe booklet that we have tried a couple of times, but mostly we just searched for griddle marinades and recipes on the internet. I love the convenience, I love the results of the taste of the food. It is rapidly becoming a necessity in our house. I am really happy with this griddle and can whole-heartedly recommend this product.

The Royal Gourmet PD1301R is an awesome little griddle, and you really can’t beat the price! I’ve always wanted a griddle, but the bigger ones were either too large or too expensive for my needs. Since I only cook for 3 people, having a large griddle felt like overkill and a waste of space. This 24-inch, 3-burner tabletop model is the perfect size for me. It heats evenly, has plenty of cooking space, and is very easy to clean. I had one of those griddles that you add to the top of a normal gas grill, and it didn’t work great and was a pain to clean. This griddle is so much better in terms of functionality and ease of cleaning. The cover is a nice bonus, making it portable and convenient for outdoor cooking. If you’re looking for a compact, budget-friendly griddle that performs great, this one is a fantastic option!

I’ve been camping for almost 50 years using everything from single burner butane to 3 burner - 90k BTU camp stoves with every imaginable cast iron pan ever made. I’ve just replaced everything with this griddle! If your making food for two or 8, this puppy can handle it. Wife and I literally just returned from a weekend of beach camping and we ate VERY well. So versatile, easy to set up and use. We stir fried onion and bell peppers, cooked up chorizo and shrimp all at the same time using different “heat zones”. Mixed together in aluminum pan to keep warm while we heated tortillas on same griddle using left over drippings. OMG!!Comes with hose to connect with 20 pound propane tank and even has a cover. Only ding I would give is that this manufacturer does not provide accessories. It would be great if they provided an optional warming rack. Also, it would be great if they made a funnel to connect the gap between the bottom of the grill and the drip pan. Bacon grease dropped off and missed the hole that goes into the grease catcher. These are small dings. Five stars given but would rated at 4.95 based on above.Bottom line, very well made, nothing “cheap” about the construction and priced right for what you get. If your new to camping or a gray haired old boot like me, you cannot go wrong with this grill. Suggestion: go to internet and look up cooking techniques and recipes for this grill. Fun!!!

The cooking surface is heavier than I expected ... a big plus. I washed and seasoned it following the directions. No problem with sticking so far...but I have't tried it with eggs or pancakes. It was easy to set up and all burners lit first try with the igniter. It works great for my purposes...mostly meat and veggies. Slightly uneven heat on surface, but manageable once you learn the hot spots. I do recommend pre heating on high and lowering heat to cook. Easy to clean...I put a small stainless container of water on one corner of the griddle to heat while I'm cooking. When I remove the food, and while it is still hot, I just pour a small amount of the hot water on the surface and scrape it into the receptacle with a silicon spatula. Then just wipe off the surface with paper towels. No need to re-season if you don't use soap. I have not used metal utensils at all...don't want to risk a scratch. The grease receptacle is easy to empty and wash for the next use. I watched LOTS of videos of guys cooking on all brands of "flat top" grills. Lots of good tips, techniques and recipes there. My favorite is to push the fat outside edge of a steak up against the lip of the griddle to brown it perfectly. I'd recommend this griddle to anyone who likes meat, but not the smell or mess when cooking inside. Another reason to have a propane griddle...if we have another power black out this winter, we still have a way to cook that doesn't involve building a fire. Keep in mind that this is ONLY for cooking outdoors...NOT inside your home. BTW I am a woman who does not enjoy grilling, but I do love this flat top grill.

I cooked breakfast and supper on this for a whole week while camping, made fantastic meals on it. It has a large enough cooking area to cook for four people all at once, I cooked main courses, slid the food to a warm side and cooked side dishes at the same time and everything stayed hot. This thing gets very hot but too much heat is better than not enough, basically cook everything on low and if nessessary finish with burners off. I used metal utensels and the surface didn't scratch and the cleanup was super easy, just use water and a scraper then wipe it off with a paper towel. The materials used seem to be of high quality and the griddle itself is very well made

I bought the grill because it was the biggest table top unit I could find (24" X 14")with 3 burners (lots of power and control), it looks beautiful and the price was great. The griddle arrived in 2 days and I unpacked and set it up easily in minutes and trust me it can put out loads of heat which I had to get used to. I was worried about the ceramic surface after reading a few comments in reviews, but I have used it have a half dozen times and I simply take the griddle top inside and wash it with soap and water in the sink. Cleans up beautifully. The only downside was that I have to use plastic utensils to keep the surface scratch free and I can't find a full size offset spatula in nylon or silicone. I will survive though.

Nice and easy to assemble. Only problem I have is that I received it with two dents and cracked paint. It sucks but I guess I’ll just live with it. Definitely not the sellers fault for I still give him the five star.

Fabulous griddle for outdoor cooking. Took a while to heat up evenly with some smoke from burning oil on the griddle.Once evenly hot it cooks fantastic. Made pancakes for 13 people so effortlessly. Looking forward to using it more often.Had it on a wooden table and no concerns about heat under it.Used plastic spatula as I think the griddle surface could scratch. It exceeded my expectations.
