Great cooler but man is that zipper hard to open and close! I guess that’s what it takes to keep things cold? Love the color and price.

My husband and I were in the works for finding a new cooler for when he is working at the farm or in the field. We have purchased this brand before and have always been impressed by its quality. It can hold up to 30 cans and has a detachable shoulder strap for easy carrying. My husband‘s favorite part is that it will keep his drinks and food cold for his 12+ hour workday. You will not be disappointed by its durability.

Zipper seems to be improved from older version of this cooler. My wife keeps this in the rear of her Land Cruiser to put cold stuff in when returning from supermarket. We also use it on trips for a variety of cold stuff like sandwiches, drinks and water. Seems to hold cold for a couple of days with ice packs.

Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I wish it compressed a little more to fit in the car behind the seat. It is not rigid, but functional it is basically rigid. No leaks, keep cool, sturdy build.

Part 2 Revised Today I filled it with two frozen packs on bottomz, 8 cans of beer and 3 sodas. Also two samwiches and meet tray. Then ice cubes , after 6 hours on a sunny 70 degree day on the beach and opening and closing, there was very little water at the bottom, the two frozenpacks were still frozen, vert impressed.after 6 hours my beer was ice cold.Part1bought this because Yetis are way too expensive and all the reviews said the RTIC is just as good or slightly better at keeping ice. I filled the cooler with ice from the grocery store, put in a few cans of beer and let it sit in my kitchen at room temperature. After 24 hours, still solid ice, very little melted water at the bottom. After 48 hours, more of a ice cube slush mixture, by morning on the third day it was all melted but still ice cold. Im guessing about 60 hours of ice life. I also read that bigger cubes last longer and there are probably some variables with ice and atmospheric conditions. I am very happy with how long it kept ice. I didn't sweat, its light, and from what I read it floats.

Zipper went out quickly. Seller is in the process of replacing the defective ice chest. Great dealing with a company who stands behind their product.

Well, I really liked this cooler from the get go (30 can soft side) except for how hard the zipper was to open/close. I used the zipper grease, but it didn’t help much. My wife really dislikes the cooler due to how hard the zipper is to move. I’ve owned this thing for 5 months and have only used it 7 times. Well, half way in to my last trip, the lid and base zippers dislocated when I tried to close it (only had 15 cans and a little ice since the beverages came straight from a hard cooler on ice and I wasn’t going to be out all day). The two sides of the zipper were still within the zipper channels, but we’re not lining up properly to zip close and the zipper handle was extremely difficult to move. I finally got it to line up, but only half way across the front of the cooler, so the other half was still open which spread open easily. Being that we were in a side by side, I knew it wouldn’t last long and I’d have a trail of drinks and ice behind me for the next lucky driver to pick up, so I decided to use an old AO cooler that leaks, but at least it didn’t spill cans and ice out. I’m really disappointed with this product because I’ve had such great luck with my numerous other Rtic products (multiple hard coolers, and almost 100 of their tumbler mugs and water bottles that I’ve purchased for giveaways). I will contact them for support and update my post with the outcome. Wish me luck, and good luck to you if you purchase a soft cooler; I hope you have better luck that I’ve had.
