As a person buying the stereo equipment they admired as a kid I thought I would have to suffer from old, poorly stored tape. Not the case. I use the 10.5†reels on a Pioneer RT909 and they sound great! I’m very satisfied. It is worth the high price to know you’ll get years and years of listening pleasure.

This is very good quality tape! I use it on a Pioneer RT-707 and to my ears the recorded audio sounds as good as the source. I’d much rather buy this and support RTM than buy vintage tape. I wish it had leader preinstalled, but it’s no bid deal adding it myself.

I think there are only two companies making recording tape anymore and this is one. I recently repaired a 45 year old tape recorder and did not want to use old tapes that could come apart and get the heads dirty. You can buy NEW OLD STOCK (NOS) but I didn't want to do that. So I bought this and it sounds great. The 7 inch real was almost overflowing so it is possible it had more than the 1800 feet I was expecting. Or, perhaps it was a little thicker than the old tapes. Either way I'm happy with it.

Three of the four cardboard ribs that hold the tape reel in place are physically torn from the case causing the reel to bounce around. Not pleased duct taping a repair to a brand new case. Item should have been shipped new and sealed.

Great quality tape but it would be nice to have a leader and stickers like we did in the past. Also I wish Amazon would package them better as one reel had a crack in it when it arrived.
