I picked up a 10lb fixed barbell for my son to use to start learning how to train with weights. I have a pretty complete home gym but a standard 45lb Olympic barbell is still a bit much for him to properly control with most movements. At his age, learning proper form is key and you don't need a lot of weight to learn. It's relatively small as you would imagine a 10lb barbell would be and the width is standard for what you would expect with any fixed weight barbell you would find at any commercial gym. It's weights are rubber coated and the bar itself is knurled. It's a great looking and well built barbell that is easy to hold and for my son to use with several movements. I even found some use for it in some shoulder stabilizing exercises. It's not going to be cheap if you want to outfit your home gym with an entire set of these, but the price is in line with what you are going to pay for rubber coated, fixed weight. If you want more flexibility and a cheaper price point, then getting a loadable set will be the way to go for you. That's probably what most people should do unless you have a lot of disposable income and you want to build a REALLY nice home gym. But again, this is for a young boy so having the weights fixed is preferable for him currently. If you are in the market for fixed weight barbells, these are nice and competitively priced with what you are going to find out there on the market. I'll update if any issues arise, but as of right now I have no problem recommending these barbells.

What a great bar. This 10lb exercise bar is absolutely top-notch and a quality product. This is the first fixed straight bar that I own but the $/lb is hard to swallow. Before this, I've acquired most of my weights for around $2/lb new and ~$1/lb used. This 10lb bar comes in at $5/lb... That is a hard value proposition to swallow. If you are buying these, I recommend that you buy sets of weights and not individual barbells. The packages/weight sets come out with a much more reasonable ~$2.5/lb. Much better value proposition that falls more in line with industry standard pricing.Excellent product, great knurling. Will probably own this for the rest of my life.

This 10lb barbell by Spart is awesome! I absolutely love the fact the weight is built in to barbell so no adding and removing plates to adjust the weight. The 10lb is perfect for curls, but it’s definitely on the lighter weight side. I have my eye on the heavier barbells because 10lb is better suited for my son. I absolutely think these are worth the extra cost if you are building out a home gym. Changing weight plates for me is a hassle and I appreciate come as they are. The quality of the bar is really nice and so is the plate.10 out of 10!!

It's heavier then I expected, but that's a positive. It's seems durable and made well, so I can see this lasting me a lifetime. I'm just starting out on my fitness journey so this is going to be helpful in perfecting my form.

This is a 10 pound curling bar. It’s fairly light with how the weights on it are. Good for curling, but I think a heavier weight would have been better. It’s fairly slim in design and so it didn’t take up a lot of space. For the price range, I think it’s a tad overpriced. Especially for what it is.It’s a basic curling bar.

This fixed weight type barbell is great if price is no object and you want to grab the weight and lift it without any more fuss than that. I got the ten pound version, it is a high quality solid steel shaft with the typical knurling found on barbells, the weights on either side are rubber coated so it can take drops quietly enough, but user beware. Overall, it functions just as a loadable barbell would, except no bushings so the user has to work with the weight more, great for building awareness of grip and effective technique, and since it is a smaller weight, it can be used for odd object training, isolation exercises and building explosiveness through very fast reps.

Pretty good weight. It's surprisingly wide, almost as wide as a weightlifting bar, balanced and easy to hold. Gives me an ability to do slightly different exercises than what I do with dumbbells. Seriously debating getting the larger size.
