These are solid. I was concerned that they might be hollow, but they are not. They feel more like soft vinyl than actual rubber - slightly squishy. Seem to be safer than using the clay sort of slingshot Ammo. I'm happy with my purchase.

Good for short range target practice. Also used for woodpecker abatement near windows. The pellet loses momentum faster than metallic pellets, and does not do damage to siding or thicker glass. The pellet is not “hard.†There is a slight elasticity, hence the reason they don’t do damage. As for woodpeckers, with my slingshot at a distance of 20-40 feet (as close as you can normally get), it doesn’t kill them but they sure don’t come back!

I got these to use with a slingshot to scare away rabbits from my garden without harming them. However, the pellets are so light that they barely seemed to notice being hit. Also, because they are so small, they do not sit well in the pouch of the slingshot, reducing accuracy.

They simply won't fly because they're too light. AdditioIf you switch to heavier metal balls, the weight difference will make your practice useless.
