This is a great step stool if you do not mind its weight and you have enough storage space for it. Here are some things that you may like to know:- It is very sturdy and does not wobble even with a 260 pound adult on it.- The height advantage it gives you is 16"- The top step is 16" x 10"- The lower step is 14" x 5" and may feel a little flimsy for heavy adults compared to the top step.- The total footprint is 18" x 18"- The steps have non-slip grooves on their surface.- It has non-slip rubber "feet" and does not slide on hardwood floors even with no weight on it.- It weighs a little over 5 pounds which makes it heavier than others so if, let's say, you would use this to paint a room, it may be a hustle moving it around so much. But if you are going to use it for reaching things once in a while, its weight will not be much of a problem.- Since this is not a collapsible step stool, it can be in the way and hard to store it away.I got this step stool because my grandson keeps turning a toys basket upside down so he can stand on it and reach things like light switches and the kitchen sink because he loves helping with the dishes (or playing with the water). I was worried about the basket because he almost fell once so I was looking for a step stool that has a wide top step and I decided to get this one. I just needed it to make things safer for my grandson and there are many step stools for kids in Amazon but most will not hold the weight of an adult and do not have the safer and wider top step I was looking for. Another concern is that when you buy a step stool that can only support kids, you just know that at some point in time there will be at least one adult in the house that will need to reach something and will think that the child's step stool will hold them. So, I got it for my grandson but I am sure that it will prove to be very handy for the adults in the house too.Needless to say that the little guy loved it right away and put it to work minutes after I placed it on the floor. I put felt pads under it so he can push it around until he is comfortable lifting it to move it and to get it out of the way when not being used, I just push it under the kitchen table for now.

I am not tall but my kitchen cabinets are. Every time I need something out of the upper shelves I would have to drag out the small stepladder which was a pain. This stool gives me plenty of height to reach the top shelves but it is also lightweight and easy to move around. It’s very stable and feels quite safe. Worth every penny!

I love these types of hard plastic two step stools. Price was descent enough, and it stays in a sturdy position and just what I wanted. I have an old one that is at least 30 yrs old. It has old paint and stained, with a broken bar in the back, looks bad but still works and my daughter grabbed it and uses it..LOL So glad to find this same design!

I'm a senior citizen, and I have a pet parakeet in a cage on top of a 42-inch high dresser. I need to give this bid medicine twice a day, and even after 5 years, she still evades me from time to time. I had a library type of stool but it was very tippy and I fell off a couple of times, so I was looking for something sturdier.This one is great! It doesn't slip on floors, and it's high enough that I can easily catch my bird. Her ability to escape and evade re-capture is legend at our avian vet. Unfortunately, if the stool isn't resting against a hard surface, like a wall or a dresser, it can tip backwards. This has happened twice--I didn't fall, but I was disappointed. If I put it next to the dresser, it's too close to the cage, and the cage is the same width as the dresser, so there's nowhere else to put it.So 1 star taken off for situational instability. But it's sturdy (I weigh 220 pounds at present), and it doesn't slip, so I'm keeping it.

This has been such a great step stool! It is study and yet it is easy to move from one location to another. It is a good height and helps me safely reach the top shelf in my pantry. I am grateful it was also at an affordable price! Thank you so much!

I have never been so glad that someone broke my old step stool. I cried. I loved that old stool. I looked and looked for a replacement and then I found this one! It was a little pricey but what isn’t these days. The quality is amazing. It is so much better than my old one. It does not move or even give way when you step on it and I am not a small gal! Love it!!!!

This stool is extremely strong and sturdy. I needed one to replace a more flimsy one, which had bent under the extra weight of my son. I could not obtain exactly what I needed in the UK, but found this one online and it was delivered from ‘across the pond’. I would say it was Canadian, but it was a US firm that delivered it to my home in Wales. I ought to have ordered two, as it was exactly what I needed, but I wanted to see the first one before deciding. Sadly, the company that delivered it to me has now increased the price to double what I paid last time. Had the price remained the same, I would have bought another. We could do with a distributor in the UK for this superior product, but it will never sell at this inflated price.
