This trash can is more expensive than most other "plastic" cans, but it is worth every penny. (I bought a nifty red one, and it perks up the kitchen.)This can is extremely sturdy--it doesn't flex, when you push in on the sides--and it hold a lot. I don't have to buy special bags for it, either. I buy a box of 30 gallon Glad ForceFlex Plus, because they're strong, and they're available most anywhere. The bag is a little large for the can, so I tie a little knot in one side of the bag's opening to make it smaller. It fits, then, and works great, plus, the bag always stays in place. It never falls into the can, when I put garbage in it, no matter how heavy the items. When the can gets full, and I remove the bag, there is still enough room left to add all the trash from several other small trash cans in other rooms.I chose this can, because it fits under my commercial stainless steel sink with plenty of room left over for the top to flip up.This can came fully-assembled and packed very well. I'm totally satisfied with its quality and with how well it works. I would definitely buy this item, again.

My wife has begun peritoneal dialysis at home. This is the exact same trash can used by the dialysis clinic, and works very well.Rubbermaid makes it a complete mystery as to what bags (liners) to use. The answer is that 18-gallon trash compactor bags fit snugly, caught by the two prongs in back and stretched over the front corners. Since these are available in 2 mil thickness you can get a pretty sturdy bag. We tried 30-gallon bags, and they work, but they are loose and can slip down into the wastebasket. The 18 gallon bags are firmly supported.We chose to go with this model even though there is a newer "Slim Jim" model available. The reviews made the newer model sound less sturdy than this one, which is a tried-and-true design.Home peritoneal dialysis generates a lot of trash, and it is nice to have a robust container for it.

Moved into a new house that didn’t have a trash can drawer. Also hated all the “semi-circle†trash cans bc they fill up so quickly. Got this beauty! It blends in with my cabinets and has a big opening and capacity. Also it is very sturdy. You cannot use regular trash bags tho. I added a picture of the bags we use. They are clear but just as sturdy as glad trash bags.

I really like this trash can. It is sturdy and functional. The only complaint I have is that it is very bulky. It says "slim Jim" but it isn't. Regular trash bags won't fit without a tug-of-war to get them secure. I had to get special bags for the can and now have a lot of regular trash bags that I can't use. Overall, I like the trash can but I prefer something slimmer. I do like the red color, though!

Excellent for use with biological waste, even at home and not in a hospital setting. I am having trouble finding trash bags that fit it though. That’s its one drawback so far.

Lo uso para la basura de la cocina, lo unico que no contemple es que usa bolsas grandes, de alli en fuera todo perfecto en función y como tiene tapa que se cierra por gravedad, evita malos olores en la cocina.
