This vent scoop works great and installed easily. Seem to get better air flow for my heater and keeps the cowl vent clean from debris. Highly recommend this. Fit perfect on my 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ.

Made from very sturdy plastic. install took no time at all. if your worried about tapping to your jeep, i wouldn't be. its very strong and wont move a inch. At high speeds on the highway, or pushing on it while washing it will be just fine. looks great also. i was going to face it forward to help force in air but it actually looked a lot better facing the windshield. also if you face the windshield, it will hide the grill all together witch actually covers up any slight errors in placement. You will understand what i mean when you place it on the jeep to see witch way you like more....over all i love it, very strong, great addition to the jeep, super easy install

Uses quality double sided tape that sticks to the paint solid after it’s been applied and sat in a warm environment long enough for it to be semi-permanent. Looks good and works good for a cold air intake system that draws from that air inlet on your TJ

fits well. good 3m brand auto adhesive. easy install. wouldn’t recommend installing with opening facing rear bc leaves get in there and it makes it hard to clean out, plus the way that its shaped it would fit right on the base. it would hang over slightly, so be sure to test fit it before you pull the covers off the adhesive strips. air flow to my heat/ac was slightly improved, but not drastically. it does look cool and keeps leaves and mud etc out of the air intake. its a kind of glossy black. i would’ve preferred a flat black as an option. didn’t bother painting mine. the sun may do that over time anyway. I’ve had mine on for thousands of miles now and its still looking good and sticking well.

This is a cool looking mod for a Jeep. It fit well, and adhered fine. I'm a recent Jeep owner, and wanted to add windshield pillar mounted lights. First thing I had to do was rip this vent scoop off to access a screw in the Jeep vent, to remove the cowl, in order to run the wiring for the lights. I'ts my ignorance, not the product that is at fault. However, I warn anyone that once you install this scoop, you cannot access the screw to remove the Jeep cowl. Enough said, 4* for the product, -1 for making it a throw-away if you need to remove the Jeep cowl.

I mounted this item with the opening facing towards the front of the Jeep. I am not sure why you would want to have the opening facing the windshield as it would be hard to remove anything like leaves etc. that would get into the vent area. It would also not help with increasing the air flow. Installation is very easy but this part just covers the vent area on a 2011 Wrangler, so you need to test fit and mark the final location prior to install. I positioned the part and then used masking tape to hold it place. I then used masking tape on sides and front to indicate the final position of the part. This way you can peel the protective strips from the tape and mount the part perfectly. These scoops are also great for keeping snow and ice from covering your vent.

Black Wrangler JKU with Black interior in Hawaii.I took a suggestion from a customer who had purchased one and installed it with magnets.I purchased 15 high strength button magnets . I carefully removed to protective film from the adhesive strip so there was a magnet one inch apart around the entire adhesive strip.I cleaned the magnets with rubbing alcohol to clean any oil off them and installed them .I did a practice install so the scoop was facing the base of the windshield. This location is a high pressure area especially on a jeep that has a mostly flat up/ down windshield.The scoop does not whistle in this position.I outlined at location with blue tape. I placed the scoop with the magnets on wax paper and placed the scoop in its location and slid the wax paper out.We have Trade winds with gusts up to 40-50 MPH. When you are driving into that head wind the force of the wind is the wind speed combined with the speed of the vehicle.The scoop has not budged after .The shape blends In nicely.In use while driving I found I can cut back the fan speed due to the increased air flowMy wife noticed the change right away with the improvement.This with the Hothead Headliners has made an noticeable improvement.

I put this on a 2016 Wrangler Sahara with the opening facing forward (to assist when hand washing). It looks good and adds a bit of flair to the look of the Jeep. It also keeps the falling snow out of the vent.

The tape is holding so far on my jeep 2013 jk.No sign of letting up after 2 months.It looks cool too.I put mine as you should, opening toward the grill, not the windshield .I like it
