This item works properly for a 220 volt plug, but not if you are converting a 30 amp rv plug to a 50 amp rv plug on a 110 volt plug.I bought this because I needed a 4 prong plug for our hybrid car charger, which works on 220 or 110 volt plug, and I only had a 3 prong 30 amp RV plug, so I thought this converter would work, but it does not.Do not use when upconverting your 3 prong 110 volt RV plug to a 4 prong 110 volt RV plug.

It works and seems fine I just would have preferred the cable part to be a bit longer, this makes fitting it to where I need it a bit awkward. It is only about 2 inches long; in the picture it seems longer.
