Growing up, my grandmother’s husband was incredibly resourceful when it came to camping. He built and used various items to secure their awning, and they never had a single issue. They would only roll it up when the camping season ended! Other than minor adjustments, they never had to worry about it, even when leaving for the week.Unfortunately, I’m not as handy. We’ve tried several tie-down kits over the years, but they always seemed to be lacking something.Then I found this kit—it has everything you could possibly need for a secure and sturdy tie-down! I’m so grateful I came across it because I’ve seen too many awnings destroyed by even simple winds. It’s durable, high-quality, and a great value for what you get. We feel much more secure now, especially in places where the wind can get intense.The only downside is that we’ve camped at a lot of locations where the ground is too rocky to use it. Unfortunately, that limits its use in some areas. We prefer grassy, more natural campsites anyway and try to opt that was as much as possible.Overall, this kit is still a lifesaver for us, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable tie-down solution. I’m thrilled I found it!

I was surprised when these arrived because I couldn't remember what I ordered that would be so heavy.These are a must if you want to keep your awning out and want to make sure it doesn't get damaged. We had an older camper before that you could leave the awning out unless the weather was really crazy but now we have a really big motorized awning so we make sure we take it in at night and basically only use it for sun.With this kit you can leave your awning out in more conditions. Everything you need is included. The only thing that will be an issue is if you're camping somewhere that is really rocky, you might have issues installing the anchors into the ground. We have a similar device for our dog tie out that uses a nut/electric drill to install it and if something like that were available with these anchors that would be awesome.That being said, if you're in a place you can get these into the ground easily you're all set, you have everything you need to keep your awning safe and secure.

It’s pretty simple. Wind will take your awning off of the RV altogether. Having this kit helps you firmly secure the awning while extended. Additionally, you can add tarps or sunshades to the sides of the awning, using the ground anchor lines as an attachment point to create a makeshift enclosed patio area underneath the RV awning.I ordered a similar product that I use to anchor my whole RV in high winds. That came with an attachment that makes installing the anchors with a drill easy, and it worked with these great.. I didn’t see a tool like that included in this kit but it wouldn’t be difficult to fabricate one.Strongly recommended for RV owners. Would be very helpful for any kind of tent as well in high winds. With the anchors screwed into the ground, you can confidently flick the line and say, “that ain’t going nowhereâ€.

I got this kit to keep in the back of my truck for either camping or beach setups. It came in handy at the beach during a windy season. I was able to use the anchors to tie down our tents and sails and the multiple accessories included really helped to keep our setup in place. Comes with a bag to keep all of the pieces together.

Obviously you can survive without this kit as if it was essential, then something similar would come with your camper, but it does add a nice bit of security and saves wear and tear on your awning in the event of a moderate to high wind event. Pretty straight forward and easy to use it wouldn't add too much to your setup time, and if you were the type that sets up in a campground for an extended period of time, these would be a very nice addition.I would recommend for nothing else than added peace of mind and helping to protect your investment.
