How to diagnose your step problem
If any of the step functions did not work the source of the malfunction is either in the control unit or the motor.
If all the step functions do work the malfunction is either in the door switch step lockout switch or the vehicle wiring.

I bought this as a replacemnent for my Quickie step. It fit well and works. Looks just like the origina at a fraction of the cost. highly recommended.

I ordered this only for the mechanical portions (linkage and motor). Most often the part that fails is the nylon gear contained in the black portion of the motor assembly. This failure point is by design as it's easy to repair and protects the rest of the mechanics from damage. These replacement parts are good aftermarket but not quite as good as OEM. As is the issue with many budget electronic replacement parts there is a concern with the gauge of the wire being smaller than it should be. I have not fully vetted this product but there is another review that goes in depth on this portion of the product. At the time of this review this set is $145.99 which is a good deal for just the motor and linkage which I what I was purchasing for.

Replaced my RV step motor with this one and it works like a charm. Fits perfectly and have had no issues in the month or so since the replacement.

The control unit wires that power the motor are much smaller than the original. The main positive wire leading into the control unit are very small compared to the original. I received the control unit, gear box with arm, and motor as a package. Installed it but I never compared the wire sizes with the unit I removed.After five openings and closings the control unit started to smoke. By the time I could get under the RV and disconnect the four pin power wire, is was in full meltdown mode and arching from wire to wire. Luckily, that's as far as it went.In the photos, I have the old unit (black with wires cut) the one that is the subject of this review (gray) and the new-new one I had to buy that was made by Kwikee - which cost $175 - but I guess you have to pay the price in order to get a unit that won't burn up. Zoom in and compare the difference in wire gauges. Not even close. Both black, Kwikee control modules have very thick wires - 10 gauge I believe.I am happy with the motor and gear box so far.

Was skeptical this single solution would cover my model requiring a factor high troque motor option — and probably could have go by on just the motor replacement — but for the price — got the fill kit and no longer need to worry about steps being half stowed away.

This gearbox and motor is a direct replacement for my model 32 Kwikee step. I purchased the controller as well because i was concerned the original would not properly actuate the gear box but that was not a problem. Unfortunately I had to cut and splice wires as the plugs are not compatible
