I recently changed my vehicle and my 91 y/o mother-in-law could no longer get in and out without a hefty “Fanny Push”, which wasn’t going to happen. Since she lives with our family, out in BFE, no longer drives, ride services aren’t an option and she enjoys a good ole trip to Walmart, I needed something that allowed her to get both in and out of my truck, safely. This step fits the bill perfectly.This step is a good size, very stable, lightweight, easily packable, large load / weight capacity, seems quite durable, isn’t slippery when wet, and it glows or has reflective properties that make it highly visible in low light conditions. The legs are equipped with a spring loaded button that allows them to be easily folded flat to the underside of the step surface. There is an adjustment button on each of the legs that allows for multiple height settings, an independent height setting for each leg and stability even on uneven ground. The legs each have a rubber foot on the bottom helping them to have good traction and grip regardless of the ground conditions (I did use a dab of contractor adhesive on the bottom of each leg as the rubber feet are not permanently attached). The legs open out and away from the stepping surface for what makes a bigger rectangular surface area than the stepping area and adds to the stability of the step. The step also has a convenient carry handle that can lay flat against the side of the step. It’s lightweight and requires no noticeable effort to move. The cost of the step is inline with its features and its construction (I did purchase a “used like new” step for $35 which I feel is a steal. I’m hoping to find and purchase several more close to this price point). It’s lightweight, durable and pretty much perfect. The only changes I’d make would be to have the rubber feet be permanently attached to the feet of the legs and that the legs be able to be folded flat to the bottom of the step surface regardless of the height that they are set, which would require a larger stepping surface and more storage space (not sure that the convenience would out weigh the inconveniences of more weight and storage space).My 91 y/o mother-in-law happily takes this step out of the truck, unfolds the legs, and is able to get into my F-150 without a “hefty fanny push” from me, which makes this step worth its weight times 100 in gold. I fold it up, throw it into the floor bed of the backseat and we’re off to her favorite shopping destination of Walmart. This step allows me the ability to keep my attitude positive because I don’t have to give a “hefty fanny push” to someone that lets a toot slide each time she lifts her leg more than a few inches (no more getting “crap-dusted” while doing a good dead, praise Jesus!), which is key for a few hours of blissful shopping with an old lady, driving an electric cart (like an angry and almost blind NASCAR driver), through the magical obstacle course of our neighborhood Walmart.

What we use it for: We have a sailboat with a dodger that hits right at my wife’s line of sight. She stands on it to raise her eyes over the dodger so she can helm our boat safely. When I’m at the helm, I place it on the helm bench to ensure my legs are bent at 90 degrees, which is more comfortable for lengthy sitting. The top non-skid surface and rubber feet keeps it securely in place for both uses. Very sturdy: no wobble, no skid.Pros. (1) Compact design (small form factor) but wide enough to be useful to stand on or sit on it ; (2) very well constructed with very good fit and finish, (3) reasonably light weight with convenient built-in carry handle for ease of transport; (4) easy to fold and unfold and adjust the legs. I especially appreciate the much more secure two button system for leg adjustment; and (5) very sturdy: no wobble, no skid.Cons. The seller’s description is a bit unclear as to the metals used in its construction. The legs are indeed aluminum but the main body and buttons used to adjust leg height are powder-coated steel and steel, respectively So, we do not store it on the boat (avoid rust) and make sure to thoroughly wash it down with Salt-Away after each sail. I also sprayed CRC anti-corrosion spray on all non-painted ferrous metal parts. I was expecting 100% aluminum construction given the seller’s description but alas, not so. We are keeping it nonetheless because it’s size and function is just about perfect for our boat. It fits like it was custom made for where we use it, so it’s worth the hassle of bringing to/from the boat to prevent rusting.I was not compensated in any way for this review. I got this so my short elderly mom can get into my SUV. She is impressed with it. She said it feels very sturdy, she's not afraid to stand on it. The non skid tread on it is really nice, even when it's raining or there is snow on her shoes. I like that it feels sturdy but isn't heavy to get in & out of vehicle. I also like that the legs are adjustable in height & also fold up.

Great step for camping. Sometimes staying at a place where the rv steps were to high off the ground came in perfect use. The legs are adjustable. You can shorten the back and lengthen the front to keep the step level.

I was seeking a mounted RV step on my ford transit. I didn’t really care for the available options, cost and installation. Also I didn’t want any mounted step to hang down losing ground clearance.I saw this step on sale and ordered it. It’s actually quite ideal because we can use it inside our van to get up onto our high mattress or move it around the van if we need a quick step up. Also, it can be used as a side table. ItIs very study and quite light. The legs easily fold but are a bit more faff to extend. It all works fine and I’m happy with the purchase.
