Bought this because my cockatiels decided to have a family. The box is quality and plenty big for two cockatiels to enter and tend to baby chicks. My male cockatiel didn't care much for the wooden bar in the middle or outside so he removed them. Cleaning the box was easy when baby poop piled up. It was also awesome to be able to watch them grow from the window in the back. Great little nesting box for sure.

I thought I was going to install this nesting box "real quick". Haha. As soon as I lifted it, the screws fell into the box, so I had to start over. Putting the wing nut on, while holding the box up, while trying to keep the screws from falling back into the box was impossible. Finally I asked my husband for help. I held the box, he put the wing nuts on, but it required me to hold each screw in place with a kabob skewer while he held the other side of the screws with pliers while turning the wing nuts- because otherwise the screws just spin with the wing nuts. If I was going to do it again, I would secure the screws to the box first, maybe with a dab of hot glue. 4 stars because that design wasn't thought through very well. Otherwise it's a sturdy little nest box for my parakeet, who laid 9 eggs (8 in a tiny nest and one in the food dish!). Momma and the eggs were transferred to the nesting box and she seems to be content there. I love the window, so I can see what is going on.

I had ordered the size Medium initially but quickly realized it was too small for my growing cockatiels. I decided to order the XL size, expecting the same craftsmanship. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. One end of the box was separated and the other end of the box, they must have discussed, and put small pieces of wood to "fix' it. I will need to fix the end that isn't laying plush. Also - the screws & washers to hang the nest in the cage are rusty and old looking. I wish I had time for a replacement box. Very disappointed in the quality this time around.

Medium size , The width 25 cm x 12.5 cmx 12.5 cmPerfect, good finishing, transparent from back , but to fix it in my cage i put it from my out side I drill two holes to fix it , again the size was perfect and box is clean
