I got this because I had one for racing. Then I had a run in in with a German Shepard where it almost attacked my Golden retriever if I didn't have this in my pocket to give it a loud shock and turn into a docile good boy it would have been a . sad situation. Its small so it can fit in your pocket and loud enough to give just about anyone a freight if need be without it getting violent. After getting my first one I ended up buying five more lol. Later once I got to my fifth I noticed it was not working! I emailed customer service and Becky G. promised to replace the product as long as I returned it. I got it back today and just wanted to give kudos where it needs to go.

This item was key in a recent emergency. When a tree trunk rolled up over the scoop and front end of a neighbor's tractor, breaking the steering wheel and trapping him in the tractor seat with the trunk across his lap, he had a boat horn within reach and sounded it, with help arriving in minutes. Get several. We have one by each door to scare away bears. Carry one when walking alone in the woods. And keep one in your riding mower and tractor! Might want to have one in your car as well.

Don't buy this thing, it's junk. You can see clearly from the images what I'm talking about too. There's no good way to press down on this thing, no button, no instructions telling you otherwise. You press down on the top however is the least awkward for you and when you do you get about a second or two of loud horn followed by a high squealing noise at low db. Garbage, now I have to buy another one. Definitely wouldn't recommend this for anyone trying to deal with an aggressive dog since you'll be panic pushing it as hard as you can in the moment (and trying to figure out how to even do that in the first place). Maybe there's a sweet spot with the pressure but I'm not looking for something I have to practice with. Dumb device.

I bought this to deter loose dogs that run up to us when we're walking. I had the "Dog Air Horn" but it ran out of air. I didn't realize these were so pricey (over $10)...but when I tested it........it scared the crap out of me and my dog. I sure hope I don't have to use it.

I’m inundated with Wild Turkeys in my back & front yard! This is best way to get them scurrying off my property! Even if it’s only for a day-or two!

I know it is sold by the same company, but the "Frontiersman Bear Horn" is louder and more reliable than this "air horn." I have both and I found this to be a weaker, generic version. Use: warn strange dogs to keep their distance away from mine.

Smaller than I expected but how large do I really need. Purpose is for security. I take one when I walk the dog and I have one at each door and at bedside.Good enough. Thank you.
