Quality product, made in Germany. Don't remove it in winter-time. Too many deletes and re-installs can affect your water pump. Also, don't do the rolled-up newspaper trick to test if it is working, as it's bad for the fan blades and can also unbalance the water pump and cause leaks (this happened to me). If you can hear, you'll know the clutch-plate is working or not. You should hear a vacuum-cleaner sound for the first twenty seconds of driving your car after the engine has been cut. After about twenty seconds, the gel in the clutch will cool, and the fan-clutch will disengage and spin independently of the engine. If you never hear this sound when you start your engine, or if the sound never goes away, buy a new Sachs fan clutch, as your one is defective.

After removing the old one/ it was same model it was a great feeling to replace /quite sound

So far so good. I've had it for about three months now on the car and its doing it s job of keeping the engine cool.E46 car M54 engine. The fit was good and it seems to be well made.
