The first thing I noticed about this car seat when it arrived was just how LIGHT it was. Even with the base attached, the whole system was super easy to carry around with one arm. So taking the base off and adding a small baby really doesn't change much, it is still a nice light seat.It has a really nice and soft cushion on the inside, making it a comfortable ride for baby, but it still has the firmness of safety and security.The seat was really easy to install. You just take the belts of the base and hook them to the two latches in your car, tighten the strap and make sure the seat is at the correct level. Even if you are an expert at putting in car seats I still highly recommend visiting a fire station or some places offer walk ins where a professional will come out and check your car seat's installation. You can never be too safe with baby!Everything on the seat is easy to maneuver. The button to release from the base is easy to find and click. The shade is easy to pull up and down, the handle is easy to put down and place upright, the straps are easy to adjust and the seatbelt button is easy to press and release. So really this seat is nice and simple to use but does not skimp on safety or security by any means.The only thing I fear with this car seat is just how hot it might get in the summer with it being completely black. Whether the seat has been sitting in the car or if you pull it out and do some errands outside while carrying it. So just use caution with that.Overall though this is a fantastic seat from a great brand. It is small, light, easy to install, feels safe and secure and is just a great choice for any new baby.

This is pretty nice but standard easy to use car seat. Admittedly, it’s a bit heavier than some others. It does the trick and I know my baby is safe in it.

Easy to install. The base of the car seat stays connected in the car which makes it easy to get the baby in and out of the car with just the push of a button. It is pretty light and easy to carry. It has extra padded cushions and a small headrest for the baby. The buckles are also easy to clip on and the shoulder straps are adjustable. The sunshade is pretty cool but wish it was a little longer to truly block out the sun. Overall good car seat and in the lower price range.

I got this car seat as an extra for when I have the grandbabies with me. It is such a hassle to trade out all the car seats when they visit. Safety 1st is a brand known for excellent products, so I felt good about ordering from them. It is much lighter than I remember them being when my kids were small, yet it seems sturdier. It has a base that is easy to install, and once in place, it remains with a low profile. The seat securely snaps into the base and is removed easily when released. I like that this will grow with your child, and its removable cushion surrounds for newborns give way to extra room when no longer needed. There are also four harness heights to get the safest fit for your child. I will admit that changing the harness height is not my favorite, but it makes this seat last longer as your child grows. It has a wide weight range from 8-32 pounds, so it should last for about two years for an average toddler in rear-facing mode. Adjusting the front chest strap and harness tightness is easy after securing the buckles. Releasing the buckles is hard for me to operate, so I know my grandbabies won't be able to escape once buckled in. You can remove the fabric cover and wash it, which will be necessary from time to time, and there is a full visor that can cover most of the baby for sun protection. It is sturdy, safe, and a trustworthy brand.

Alot of the reviews said it was good for preemies since it laid back a bit more than other car seats, but my 4 lb 9 oz little lady is too small for it. The straps don’t tighten enough to secure her safely & there’s still a gap at her shoulders despite all straps being at the smallest possible setting. Not only that, it feels cheaply made. You can’t seem to get the best install if you put it in a seat without the click connect latches, there’s no way to get the seatbelt to properly lock besides pulling it all the way until it locks at the belt. The shade also seems like it’s going to break when you put it up. Save your $100 & get a Graco or Chicco.

This car seat meats all the standard safety requirements that all car seats in the US need to meet. The installation of the car seat is very simple. All you need to do is make sure you install the base of the car correctly. The base has an indicator of whether it is installed correctly or not. Very helpful!Once the car base is installed, all you do it put the car seat into the base, making sure you hear the click. Once you hear the click, you know that the car sear is in place. What I love is that this car seat will most likely get you from the time the baby is born to way over a year old, as it is good from 8 lbs to 32 lbs.The negative thing about this car seat is that it is not as cushioned as some of the other car seats on the market. My baby had a hard time adjusting to the car seat, for some reason.

I obviously care about my child's safety, so I love this car seat! The quality is great and I find it trustable to use with my daughter!
