I bought these to replace an old pair that had stretched and worn out. I wanted a pair of gloves that won’t stretch, and will provide great protection for my palms. I looked at several brands; Gill, Helle Hanson, even online on Walmart. There are a lot of gloves to choose from, but I found the features of the Navis gloves and the price to be compelling. I already own a set of Navis foul weather gear, so I already know about the quality of their workmanship. These gloves appear to be well made. The inside of the fingers and palm of the hand has a special fabric that lets you keep a firm grip on lines. I soaked the gloves in water and handled several lines with no slippage. The thumb moves easily and is not bound by the glove’s fabric. The back of the glove is a thin neoprene-type material that is coated with a protective stretch fabric. The gloves did not stretch out of shape or change size (as leather does) when wet (I wore them wet for over an hour). Three of the fingers are closed, and those fingers have reinforcement at the tips. The forefinger and thumb are open, allowing for delicate work as needed. There is an adjustable Velcro closure on the wrist which is about 1†wide. The Velcro is finished with a nice piping around the edge to prevent the Velcro from cutting into your wrist. Since the closure is on the inside of the wrist, it is easy to use and should not interfere with operation of a watch (nothing worse than accidentally resetting your watch with the glove strap when you’re in the start sequence of a race!). I think these gloves are going to be great in use and for less than $20, I don’t think I could have found a better deal. I bought a size Large; my hand measurement falls exactly in the middle of the large range on the Navis chart. Each glove fits well and they are consistent in their fit on my left and right hand (they are accurately sewn so each glove in the pair fits as it should).

These gloves are excellent quality, stitching is superb with no loose ends to start unraveling. They're comfortable and fit great, and cover the wrist which was important to me. Time will tell if they are durable, but I"m pretty confident they'll last the distance.

although they're thicker than what I expected, I used them a few days ago for the first time and they performed well. Living in FL, I will probably get some lighter ones as well, but overall satisfied with the gloves, especially for the price.

This is my fourth pair of sailing gloves and they are the best I have owned yet. They provide much better protection from rope burn from the main sheet of a sailboat than Harken Sport Spectrum 3/4 inch gloves and are much easier to take off. One night I left them in the car, wet after sailing. I was worried that my new gloves would be wet and stinky but they did not stink and were nearly dry. I would not guarantee the same result for you but these gloves do dry faster than competitors.

I liked the value of these gloves and the ability to keep most of my digits warm yet have my index exposed for more dexterity in potentially colder weather.I did not like the way they fit. I found the palm area to be too boxy and not very form fitting. I ended up returning these. Stitching was good and clean throughout. I did check for sizing before ordering and got the correct ones but they seemed off enough to feel it.

Order arrived as scheduled and gloves were as advertised. They fit well and it appears as though they will last a long time.

They're OK, there are signs of wear. It is OK and does job but these are not pro gloves if you want to 'invest'.

Solid value, well made, slightly oversized.I typically take an XL in gloves. In this, I should have downsized to a Large.That said, the loser fit did not interfere with the ability to manage lines and sheets.Bonus: I’d like being able to operate a touchscreen with the gloves on
