My father was recently treated for Bladder Cancer when this rosary came up in my feed. I am not Catholic by religious practice, but I am faithful. St. Peregrine is a Patron of People with Cancer. I have it with me for now, to pray for my father. This is more of a medallion than ring and it is meant for you to carry on your person or hold in your hand. It does help you feel closer to God.
