I have happily purchased every version and size of Sakura Oil Pastels (and will continue to do so). The consistency of the oil pastel and its smoothness when working on canvas, wood panel, or paper always comes out looking nice,Which is why I decided to purchase the multi-cultural set. It is a nice variety of neutral colors that I often use every day. It is nice to see these colors cohesively packaged which allows me to think of color combinations and play with the set to achieve a myriad of blends. I use them for my abstract art work in different mediums (primarily acrylic). But they can be used for both drawing and painting.The price is great for those who want nice quality art supplies without the hefty price tag. Plus you are getting a decent size oil pastel as compared to some other brands that cost less.I sometimes use other brands for color variation when needed. But Sakura ranks at the top because of the way it makes my artwork have a more polished look to it.

The colors are beautiful! Using this product is so satisfying, because of how easy and durable they are. The color is stunning and the picture or final drawings are amazing with this product. Such a great performing product!

I needed soft oil pastels in these shades. Although the product description said "soft". On smooth paper it is absolutely terrible... on textured paper it is acceptable. But I draw on smooth paper and I needed soft sticks... I will not complain, the price is too low to bother. But I am a little upset.

Not quite Artist Grade, but pretty good for first layers and sketchbook work. I prefer, however to upgrade to the Cray-Pas Specialist version for creating work to be sold.

Very creamy, quality is outstanding and variety of skin tones is great. Value for the price is amazing. Very easy to blend colors. Thickness is good. This is can be used by kids and adults. I love art products from Japan. I wish Amazon would would supply more art supplies from Japan. There are some items from Japan that I would like to order but cannot. I don’t understand why. I would rather order more art supplies from Japan than china. The Japanese value quality more than anything else.

Ces pastels m'ont été conseillé par une dessinatrice car elles sont bien grasses, à l'huile, on peut faire des nuances avec de l'essence sans odeur, s'étalent très bien, le secret c'est le support, je conseille malgré le prix exclusif du papier de la marque pastelmat de différents grains, c'est la garantie d'un bel effet. Beau nuancier de 12 pastels couleurs peaux. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Envoi rapide et soigné dans une boîte. Aucune casse, aucun doublons. Possibilité de passer plusieurs couches pour obtenir les bons tons pour les visages. Je ne connaissais pas cette marque et c'est une très bonne découverte. Je possède maintenant l'ensemble de ces pastels et je recommande vivement.
