Some reviews say this is smaller than they thought it would be, for me it was bigger than I thought it would be :-). I'll need to practice getting ice out of my refrigerator since the angle I need to hold it to get it into the ice bin also results in the ice sliding back out into the bin when I try to take it out. I think I'll be able to figure it out with some experience though, perhaps shoving it against the back of the bin to keep the ice in the scoop as I pull it out.

Replaced a metal ice scoop for work ice machine with two of these. We bought two so we couod throw one in the dishwasher each evening and have them cleaned as least once a day. Love the hand shield. Also the scoop size is perfect for 16oz plastic cups!

We purchased these after Covid became a thing. A safer way to get ice into cups with out germs jumping ship.
