  • Replaces sand as a filter media
  • 50 pounds of ZeoSand is equivalent to 100 lbs. of sand
  • Lasts up to 5 years
  • Catches more particulate than sand and decreases back wash times
  • Ships As 6 x 25 Lb. Bag

All natural ZeoSand weighs half as much as its volume in sand yet is twice as effective. The crystal structure, irregular shell, and high surface area make it a highly effective trap for fine particulates and ammonium ions compared to sand. It takes less ZeoSand to fill a filter - 50 pounds of ZeoSand replaces 100 pounds of sand and makes a far more effective filter media. ZeoSand improves your sand filters performance by trapping more dirt and particles decreasing back wash time. ZeoSand removes eye-burning chloramines so you can enjoy superior water quality while saving energy and reducing chemical usage.

This is my 3rd time I replaced my filter media with ZeoSand. It lasted about 5 years (as advertised) the last two times, and I live in Arizona where the water pump/filter run year round. Once established it gives EXCELLENT water clarity, blocking as i recall down to 5 microns, with sand at 20-100 microns depending on the sand. Shipping agitation will cause the Zeosand to create some dust in the bag. Make sure that you have water in the filter before placing the Zeosand in the filter, and back wash it at least a couple times before filtering the pool water. Zeolite has a light gray/light green look to it. Even with the backwashing you water may show a green tint to the water once you start filtering the pool water. DON'T FREAK OUT, like a number of pool owners do. It just means that there was still dust in Zeosand even though you backwashed it a couple times. Let the pump run continuously for 2-4 days and the water will be crystal clear. Great product.

This is absolutely the best sand for your sand filter. It only takes half the amount and keeps your pool water crystal clear. Not only that I seem to be using less chlorine and don’t need to backwash near as often. Great stuff!!

I have used this for about 6 years and figured time to replace. Was not having issues but it is only reasonable that the particles would wear down. I followed the directions and then some. I cleaned filter out and added 6 bags slowly. Then filled filter until it would overflow out the waste pipe. The "dust" is very dirty so I let it drain off naturally as the hose filled the unit. That got a lot of dirty water out. Then sealed it all up and started filter on backwash. When it finally ran clear which was rather quickly I set it to filter and away we went. I added a picture of the pool about 4 hours after the restart. I have no idea what other customer's issues are. This is the second time I have used this product in a 24,000 gallon pool and have had NO ISSUES. They obvioulys received a bad batch or are doing something wrong.

This stuff appeared at first to work amazingly. It took the pool from green to blue but not quite clear, then immediately started turning green again, no matter how many chemicals we put in it and no matter how many times I backwash and rinse it. Water chemical levels are good, so it's not a water issue. Upon further research, we discovered that this stuff gets quickly clogged and stops filtering altogether. No matter what we've done, it's doing zero filtration after only FIVE WEEKS OF USE.We installed the recommended 150 lb of this product, which was supposed to be the equivalent of 300 lb of sand. Upon installation of this product in a brand new variable speed pump that's run 24/7 and a 300 lb filter, maybe the initial two or three backwashes and rinses put out plenty of algae that has been filtered out. Over the next few weeks, the backwash put out less and less algae, to the point where the water that exits the filter during backwash is effectively just pool water, with no green, though the pool is full of algae. We thought this would be a great product, based on the fact that it states DE level filtration. What they don't tell you that it clogs VERY quickly and no longer filters at all. $107 down the toilet, which is cleaner than our pool at this point.

Replaced old sand which wasn't filtering well with this product. Never seen my pool this clear. Totally living up to the "DE Like Clarity" they said on the bag. I would recommend this product instead of the regular sand. This was also cheaper than regular sand. I'll probably have to use less chemicals. Also, the water feels very silky smooth and light on the skin. Very happy with the purchase!

This was easy to use. I wetted and backwashed thoroughly as per the instructions and have had crystal clear water with no green tinge. The Zeosand has been installed for about a month and seems to work at least as well as traditional sand.

After fully cleaning my sand filter and checking all parts. I carefully refilled with this product. It seems to have enough smaller dust that it leaks through and settles on the pool bottom. Every 2 or 3 days I have to re-Vacuume on filter.Running on bypass it does not happen. 💁‍♂️💁‍♂️💁‍♂️
