(20 meters) in length must carry an efficient sound-signaling device audible for ½ mile, with a 4-to 6-second duration. It says that it's 122 DB......I highly doubt that, I think it's much louder than that! A cheap hand pump air horn was listed as 130db, for kids parties. That doesn't seem right. I bought this to break up fights between my two very large grandpups, and I think it will definitely do that. I'm going to keep a pair of ear plugs with it, though. I set off a small test blast in the house....even my husband, who can't hear a smoke alarm 5 feet away, heard this in the other room. I won't use the language he used, but essentially, what the neck wss that????!!!! I was turned away from it, holding it around the corner of the door, and my ear rang and was numb for 15 minutes. I've had people blast an air horn behind me, and it was no way this loud. A very mighty little horn. If you need VERY LOUD air horn I highly recommend this! Will definitely buy the refill for this when needed. Highly recommend for camping. Definitely wear ear plugs when using!

I ordered these the day after I spotted a bobcat in my back yard. I keep one by each door now so if I spot one again, I can scare it off. One of the things I read about bobcats is make lots of noise....let them know they are not welcome. Well.....this will definitely do the trick. It hurts my ears. But....worth it for a second or two. I've scared some woodchucks off with it too. The cans are very small. I have no idea how long they will last. I hope it's not when I really need it....lol

Certainly will get everyone’s attention but way too loud for use in my boat for day to day outings. I’m keeping one in the boat just in case but hopefully will never run across a need to use it. It is very compact and easy to store and use. Don’t get to close to anyone’s ears if you need to deploy this attention getter!

Thank you for making this awesome product!I was nervous it might not fit my air horn because it is not the Sand Shark brand... it is the Ozark Trail brand from Walmart.But it fits like a glove! I am so grateful.I felt somewhat confident ordering it since the canister I have is the same 1.4 oz size as the name brand.Please note: I have not tested the fit of this product on larger cans, as Walmart carries three sizes. This canister pictured is the smallest size -- 1.4 oz. VERY LOUD!!The clip lined up on the horn perfectly. I had to wiggle it a little as I screwed the can on to get the threading to take hold. The clip is snug against the can so that it has a firm hold, but slides off easily to use quickly.I got these clips to hook my air horn to my fabric bicycle basket so as to keep dogs as far away as possible while riding.I am grateful for these clips. Thank you.

I bought this horn because I needed a device on my jetski. When I tried to test it, I held it above my head and pointed it away from me. I gave it a short quick press of the button and it hurt my ears to the point they were ringing for about 30 minutes. I have no idea how loud the horn is, but in an emergency on the water, there is no way to sound the horn and keep my ears covered or plugged with my one free hand. And who keeps multiple pairs of ear plugs with them for themselves and passengers? Poor design. It might be better if there was a longer horn to direct the sound away instead of just letting the sound go out in all directions. Either way, I am disappointed because I spent $24 and can't return these because there are "no returns" allowed. Buyer beware!

Not really impressed I got two cans but you can only use it once or twice without it freezing up on you and then you have to wait till the can comes back down to room temperature I need something that would continuously work what I needed it have a lot of geese here
