I got one of these for my 89 year old mother, and I liked it so much that I got myself one, too! The sound is very clear and the phone feels good in my hand (not that hard plastic of the old days). The pick up/hang up button is right in the middle, so easy to turn on/off, but I haven't had a problem with accidentally turning it off. Volume buttons are also on the handle, but do not get in the way of holding it.I am loving this adaptive piece! I miss the "old" phones and was tired of holding my cell phone so awkwardly and accidentally muting it or disconnecting the call with my face. I love the colors -- got a bright red for my mom so she could find it in the mess of her room and a purple one for me.I had to get an adapter to connect it to my Motorola cell phone. But this adapter also works with my Acer Chromebook.Very happy with these purchases!

Great phone used this for my Halloween costume. Every one loved it ! Including my 11 year old who asked to have it after the party is over. Used the iPhone aux adapter and plug right in.

As clever as modern smart phones are, their worst feature is the standard telephone function. Yes you can use headphones or earbuds when you’re out and about, but I prefer using this handset when in the office or at home and so keep one at each location. Good quality accoustics in both directions. I also think it’s to cool chat on an old fashioned handset in a car (as a passenger of course)!

I am changing my initially positive review of this. The people you call while on this will keep hearing squeals while you talk. They have asked me to stop using it because it is annoying and hurts their ears. I am returning it.I think this was switched since the handset does not say SANOXY on it like the photo; it has no identification on the handset any where. I should have been more suspicious about its quality when I got the bad packaging it comes in. Not one bit of English on the box - two sets of French instruction, Spanish, German and some Asian language. No instructions. The box calls the device "Auricular "Retrófono", not Sanoxy, but a sticker was slapped on the box saying SANOXY and supplying a bar code.Amazon - shame on you!

i ordered this retro phone and i love it i use it evreywhere i always get complimnents on it its perfect and cute and you can answer ans hang up right from the handset !!

Just to be fair, I have to say that this handset does not work with MY smart phone, a Galaxy S3. I bought this for my GF for her birthday and tested it before I gave it to her. It DOES work on her non-smart phone. She likes it and that's good enough for me. The company I got it from did re-send me a new one without having to send the original back which I appreciate. But that one does not work w/ my GS3 either.It actually has a "QC" sticker on the phone (meaning that it has been tested for "Quality Control"). Now for the box that it came in. On the front AND the back of the box it says "HANDSET COMPATIBLE WITH ALL DEVICES*".... but there is no reference to what the asterisk means. It also says on the back "-Works with all mobile devices, adaptors available as accessories". This product is MADE IN CHINA. Electronics MADE IN CHINA = NOT GOOD (usually). Clearly this is a non-quality product, there are English spelling errors on the box such as "Bluletooth" and "Rediation-proof". The coiled cord is only 17" unstretched and it is very tight to unstretch. There are no directions in the box or on the box.

Got this for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas because she likes retro things lol. It actually works! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the volume button doesn't work but the answer button does and the sound quality is good. I've tried it on multiple phones and it worked on all of them! In fact just for fun I'm writing this review with speech to text using this phone! The last picture you see Ace of me using the phone connected to my phone LOL
