This product says it will keep your Christmas tree stand filled with water until the tree drinks most of a gallon of water. It works! I ordered this after my tree was up, so it wasn't as easy to set up as it would have been if I'd set it up the first day. But, I played with the system using a glass of water first to get a sense for it, and it's great! Then (with the help of an Amazon Answers responder) I set it up with my tree with the gallon jug about 3/4 full. I do have an "adjustable tilt" tree stand, so I have to elevate the jug a bit --- the siphon works so that the water in the tree stand is always level with the water in the jug, so if your tree stand's water reservoir is higher than the jug, then the jug won't empty completely (and your tree stand will dry up).I made a mark on my jug at the water line last night and could see that the water level had decreased overnight, so it's doing its job! This is great for my peace of mind -- it's wonderful being able to check the level in the tree by just looking at the jug, and it's so much easier to swap out the jug every 5 days or so than it is to climb under the tree and test/do the watering morning and night! My only criticism: the bag I received is no where near as attractive as the bag they show in the product's photograph. The bag they sent is probably a $0.50 bag, and it ripped the first day due to the size of the gallon jug, whereas the bag in the photograph probably costs a few dollars. I still give it 5 stars because the product itself is doing its job!

I tested the system out with an empty tree stand to be sure I understood how it worked. I was glad I did that. I can see how people could overflow their tree stand, if they didn't read the directions in your little scan code. I liked the suggestion someone else said about a plastic gift bag, so I just bought a cheep green plastic tablecloth, for a couple dollars, and cut it to line the gift bag. It looks like tissue paper in the gift bag and hides the gallon better. It will be so nice just trading jugs instead of trying to slide under the tree to see if it needs water all the time! So much peace of mind. I also bought a little Elf water device to go with it that yells at you if the water level gets to low, so I won't forget to change the jug. I'm super happy with this system! Thank you

Not work 4 dollars. It is a box and a tube. Do not buy this.

Awesome way to keep the tree hydrated and save your knees in the process. Best way to set it up is when you first put up tree. I measured water in tree stand so I knew how much would be needed in the jug. You might have to put the jug on a book or small box to get it going properly.

I like this thing. It comes with a shiny paper gift bag to for the jug of water to sit in. That’s fine although it if came with a hard plastic Christmas styled bag, that would be awesome because when I fill the jug, some drips of water run down the side of the jug and get on my floor. The bag I got was bright red. I wonder if a few drops that got under the bag, would it bleed and stain the wood floor? IDK? But I’m being really careful about that. I’ve had my tree 1.5 weeks and it’s working great! Soooo much easier than crawling under the tree, sticking my finger in to the stand to see if there’s water, getting poked with tree branches and then spilling water everywhere when I try to fill it. The only thing I don’t quite get is why the lid is solid? You can’t screw it on the milk jug. It just kind of flops around on top, but whatever, it’s still awesome.

Product does work as described. The reason I gave 3 stars was only because I am not 100% sure it works 100% of the time. It is difficult to know how high you should have the bottle in order to fill the stand properly. Only had it for this one season so may increase rating after verifying it is reliable.

This is perfect solution for going out of town.NOTE: It is basically like a pre-packaged "DIY" kit but I didn't have any of these things just laying around and probably would have spent more $$$ and time trying to figure it out myself.I do not think the instructions were that easy to understand, though. There are several different attempts to describe the process (instruction papers in the package, list online, link to video), all which vary slightly, making it confusing which to follow. The setup is easy enough to get, but I was confused with how much water to put in.I ended up filling the jug halfway, testing it for a day (worked well) then risking it with 3/4 full while I was away.My tree sits low so I was concerned about the water levels "leveling out" (which it says someplaces) and overflowing.BUT, it didn't!And my tree lived! Thanks for the great product.

This product consists of plastic a plastic tubing apparatus with instructions to use a gallon bottle of water with it and a "gift bag" to place the gallon bottle in to hide it under your tree. The "gift bag" is a flimsyUnattractive bag that is much too small to accommodate the gallon bottle required. It is hard to believe that the tubing and minimal instructions would command the same price if not presented with the photo of the way it would look under the tree. Why not just deliver the product as advertised!?
