I use these (I purchased two) in my sewing room to organize oft-used sewing notions. Savina products are all just beautiful and well made--so is this little caddy. It even has four rubber disks on the bottom of the organizer! I will sew felt sleeves to fit inside the compartments to avoid scratching the finish over time. I'm extremely pleased.

This is very nice looking and well made. The design leaves me kind of cocking my head, though, because I'm not entirely sure how useful it is. That big but shallow trough in front isn't ideal, at least for my uses. Maybe it's meant to be a kind of little catchall area, but I generally tend to avoid that sort of thing in favor of having a place where things belong (otherwise they never go back where they belong and the catchall is always full to bursting). The construction is nice, the wood is lovely, and in general I have no issues with the quality. It does have a smell at first, but as someone who has built from scratch more than once, that's entirely normal. If you're sensitive to that (and I certainly can be, so no shade), I'd take this out and leave it in a room you don't frequent for a couple of days before you put it right in front of your face on your bench.

My wife was wanting something to help organize her needlework tools and such. We came across this little sewing organizer that will allow her to organize and transport her tools well. From the moment we opened the box, you could tell this was made with a lot of pride and integrity. The care that was taken to tightly secure this box and the quality of its packing spoke volumes as to their care. After unwrapping it, we were just amazed at the workmanship. You don’t find this level of pride in many items today.This sewing organizer could easily be mistaken for an olde-time wooden tool box, though it is a bit smaller, and I seriously debated using it as the best-looking household small-tool tote I have seen. It’s not large, but it is a very convenient size for organizing small things: Computer parts, small screwdrivers, craft marker sets, nail polish, and of course, sewing goods are just a few of the things this beautiful little wooden tote can help organize and transport.This sturdy little tote is divided into 3 sections, providing simple organization for oft-used smaller items while allowing for easy portability. The item listing shows the style well, but the finish of the wood is even more gorgeous in real life. Ours has no imperfections of any kind. The generous size pads on the bottom ensure none of your work surfaces sustain damage. I wish I could have this company make all the furniture in my home, it is really that good. If you seek organization with class, this is the caddy for you.

I love this little wood sewing box! The dimensions are (according to the product description): 5.2"D x 9.5"W x 6"H. It is quite small so if you're expecting something larger, you will be disappointed. However, if you review the product photos carefully and pay attention to the dimensions in the description, you will be quite happy that you ordered this and that is in a very compact little box that will fit easily next to your sewing machine (or chair for hand-sewing) to hold the necessary tools that you use frequently. It has three compartments to help with organization, and comes packaged in a box with very durable bubble wrap to protect it in shipment. It has a small handle that fits well in my hand and makes it easy to transport from one area to another. The wood is quality wood and is finished with a protective coating. It has 4 small felt feet on the bottom corners. This is just the perfect little wood box for me, and would be something I feel could be passed on from one generation to the next. I wish I could give this little box more than 5 stars.

This is a well made organizer but I question its efficacy for sewing? I prefer using it to hold my letters and pens, so I’m using it more as a desk jockey. The wood is nice, but a bit grandmaish in terms of the stain.

Nice piece. I love this for my desk. Its perfect for toting around my workspace with my most used tools and for when I have fittings for clients. More than enough space for everything and its wood, not plastic or crap material. It should last forever.
