I love this leak light. The yellow leds aren't too bright and the long light lights the whole upper and lower stacks at the same time. Very affordable, too

Technology has come a long way from the expensive leak lights I used to use to fix my instruments. This string of led lights is narrow enough to fit into an Eb clarinet and bright enough to illuminate a bass clarinet bore.

This is a good budget leak light for home use. It is very bright (almost too bright for white pads like on my flute), and the LEDS are well spaced so that there aren't gaps in the brightness on the side that is lit.Compared to the professional models I've seen and had a little experience with, the one drawback of this is that the lights are only on one side of the strip, so you have to turn it inside the bore to get a full picture of what's going on with the pads. I'd love to glue two of these back to back, and I think it could work pretty well. I'd also like a slightly longer cord, but for occasional home use, it's very decent.

While this is marketed as a light for testing leaks, you could use this for many different applications to light other items. Very bright and easy to use and plugs into USB for convenience.

I have long wanted to have a leak light for my saxophone, and this fits the bill. The LED strip slips either into the bell or down the main body of the saxophone, which, when used in a darkened room, allows one to test key closure to identify poorly-seated pads, which create resonance issues when playing.A handy tool for my musical maintenance tool kit!

This may be a low cost way to get a leak light but it is so bright that it cant be used with flute, or I imagine any instrument with white pads. The light is so intense that it illuminates the pad (from inside the instrument) such that there is no way to see the subtle shadows that indicate leaks.Perhaps some kind of current limiting device could dim it enough but I don't have the tools to experiment.
