Looks really great, very sturdy, way easier and better for belt tensioning. My engine is a 1996 5.7 that came with a serpentine belt system, now it has an old school V-belt pulley set up. So I did have to remove 3/16s of an inch from the sleeve. There's a fair amount of variance with water pumps and the fronts of cylinder heads so I'm not surprised it needed some trimming. The Alternator pulley lines up perfectly. Overall I'm quite pleased with this bracket set and would not hesitate to buy another.

The SBC Alternator Bracket for a Long Water Pump is a fantastic addition to any engine bay. From the moment I installed it, I couldn't help but admire how amazing it looks under the hood. But looks aren't the only thing it has going for it.Installation was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of this bracket compared to the stock part it replaced. It felt more robust and ready to handle the rigors of daily driving without breaking a sweat.The only minor hiccup I encountered was with the turnbuckle-style adjuster. It seemed a bit stiff initially, and I had some difficulty getting the ends to screw in far enough to mount the belt. However, once the belt was on, adjusting the tension and alignment became a breeze.Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this bracket. It's a worthwhile upgrade that I would buy again without hesitation. If you're in need of a reliable and visually appealing alternator bracket, I wholeheartedly recommend the SBC Alternator Bracket for a Long Water Pump.

Worked perfect, using my existing hardware. The new hardware is Allen head which is fine but the thread pitch was different than my block and proform alternator. Really got the belt tight, easy to install, nice finish, didn't even use most of the box. Just the tensioner and it really opens the engine bay look by removing the old style bracket.

Very high quality product. Only downside is the upper alternator bolt did not work for mine and I had to get a different bolt. Over all happy with it good price. Easy to install

Item fit my sbc with aluminum heads no problem. No instructions but that’s ok it’s so easy my dog could figure it out. Good price nice and strong.

Needed this because my strip dominator intake didn’t have bolt provision for factory alt bracket, the adjuster style bar in this kit uses a bolt on the water pump instead so it works perfect, also love all the hex key hardware it comes with, I’m a fan of using updated hex and torx key fasteners on older style vehicles that originally use standard hex head bolts

It fit my sbc 350 as described. But, I had to cut down the sleeve an eighth of an inch to fit. Other than that, it looks pretty.
