This dress fits really nicely, which was a pleasant surprise since I am used to needing to tailor things to fit my proportions. The straps are adjustable by tying where you need them, and the smocking on the back makes the upper part of the dress fit like a dream. I would have liked a more natural fiber for the fabric, but this does feel like a decent quality for a synthetic. Mine arrived with a snag in the front of the skirt portion, but at least the drape of it tends to hide it a bit. Be aware that this fabric will snag easily in general, but it does look attractive and has a light feel that will be nice in summertime.

I love this dress! The fabric has a nice, subtle shimmer, and it's very light and comfortable. I only wish I had sized down. I got one size up from my usual because there's no size chart.My logic was that I could throw a corset over it or take it in if it was too big (which I still plan to do). That said, this dress is quite roomy. The back has an elastic, "scrunchy" panel that gives another 3 inches of room/stretch, so I could've probably gotten away with an L. You can see how much room I have left in the second picture!My measurements are 44 inches around the largest part of my bust (38D) and 35 inches around the smallest part of my waist. I'm 5'6 and the length of the XXL was perfect.

The fabric just isn't nice enough. It's great for a casual dress, but it's not outstanding. Very lightweight so that's great if that's what you are looking for.

I've always loved the look of Renaissance-style clothing, and this Scarlet Darkness overdress is absolutely gorgeous! I was a little nervous about ordering it online, but I'm so glad I did. The fabric is beautiful – it has a nice weight to it, and it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. The lace-up corset detail is so flattering, and it really cinches in my waist, giving me that classic hourglass figure.I was worried about the fit, but it was surprisingly true to size. I ordered my usual size, and it fits perfectly. It's also really comfortable to wear, which is a must for me. I wore it to a themed party recently, and I got so many compliments! It's definitely a statement piece, but it's not too over the top. I can't wait to wear it again! If you're looking for a beautiful and well-made Renaissance-style dress, I highly recommend this one. It's definitely worth the investment!

This dress is stunning, really. I was worried it would feel and look costume-y but I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of both the material and the construction. The main dress material does have a shine to it but its of a higher quality material type shine and not 'cheap' polyester type shine. The whole dressed is lined with a very soft inner material and the side zipper is a 'hidden' one so its not noticeable, though I struggle to zip it up alone. The neckline is not very low but sits at a nice flattering position (on me anyways) to have enough cleavage to not feel matronly.I'm usually an XL if I want a 'fitted' look or an XXL if I want something more baggy/slouchy. I got this in a XXL because I did think about layering it with a top underneath and I could always add a belt or corset if it was big in the waist however this dress runs small. I'm very glad I sized up because I find this dress, once zipped, to be very snug. It fits but just so. Now it is very flattering, the thickness of the material and the way the dress it designed makes it hug things just right and all but if you are between sizes like me or if you want to layer this absolutely size up. I am 5'0 and the skirt brushes the top of my feet, not quiet hitting the ground but just off of it.All in all I'm highly impressed with this brands quality and design aesthetics and will be looking at getting more of their stuff, highly recommended.

Very comfortable to wear. I had this one during an 80 degree day and felt nice and airy, not once did I feel restrictive in my movement nor did the shoulder ties come undone. The top portion is flexible and I don't even need to unzip it to get it over my chest area. For this brand I always have to order a size up for the tops which makes the bottom portions of dresses look oversized. Since the waistline is a bit higher, I run into the issue of looking pregnant because of all the extra fabric. Basically, my entire shape is gone, but I'm so comfortable I don't care. I can run errands looking like a free spirited fae and I love that.

We've been trying to put together a good ren faire outfit for a while now, and this is a great choice to use as the base for it. The look is perfect, giving just the right amount of fantasy while still being feminine and somewhat modern feeling. It's easy to accessorize with, pairing nicely with a corset or belt. And the material and construction feel good quality, reassuring me that it will be usable for many seasons to come.
