About this item

  • EU Size: 41 – US Size: 8-8.5 Men | Runs Small, Street Shoe Sizing or Larger Strongly Recommended
  • Start Climbing Comfortably | Flat-lasted climbing shoe prioritizes comfort while still giving you the grip necessary to develop a solid foundation of climbing techniques.
  • Sizing Advice | While an ideal fit shouldn’t have any dead space, most Origin owners suggest sizing similar to your street shoe size or larger, even with the leather upper stretching after wearing over time.
  • Men’s Fit | A wide last, high volume, and slight asymmetry allow a comfy fit for most men’s feet.
  • Pressure Absorbing Fit | This unique heel system spreads the force of the heel tension, reducing pressure on your Achilles heel while still providing active forward pressure.

I love these shoes! Perfect for beginners. The only thing is that they run about a half size small. I wear men’s 9 and I got a 9.5 and they were perfect. Keep in mind they’re supposed to be fitted and tighter to allow for better toe grip.

Tried a bunch of different brands and these fit the best, the half size was exactly what I needed. Feels well built unlike others that are $10-$20 cheaper. Seems like it’s worth the few extra bucks to get something decent.

bought these as my first pair of entry level shoes that were my own and not rentals. if you are a new climber looking for some decent shoes that wont break the bank, then these are great! WAY better than rentals, but getting past v6/7 & 5.11a/b I'd say the Origin's start to show their limitations. they are GREAT shoes for someone looking for their first pair of climbing shoes but ive been climbing 3x a week in them for like 5 or 6 months and i already upgraded and bought some more aggresive shoes (Instinct VSRs). there is a crimpy outdoorsy problem im projecting currently in my local gym that has really tiny awful feet & unfortunately these shoes just cant edge on them like I want them to. the origins have a very flat neutral shape and the edges arent very defined so they just cant really dig into these tiny footholds (for my skill level, at least. im sure a better climber can edge these footholds in street shoes, but i cant lol)all in all id say considering the price the origins are AWESOME if you are new to climbing and are just looking to get your first pair of shoes. they are like... 1000x better than rentals, trust me, but if you are shopping for anything past your first pair of shoes, arent on a strict budget, or if you climb harder than v6/7: I wouldnt recommend them. go for something more aggressive.

It’s true that you can expect New climbing shoes to Hurt your toes until you break them in but my first 2 tries were way too tight!! I wear a size 8.5 in women and ended up with 8.5 in mens and my toes are in the tip and still snug but not excruciating pain!!Thank goodness for Amazon’s easy return policy!! I felt like Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears until it was Just Right! These shoes are well made and have great reviews. I love them!

As a beginner, I enjoy the flat style of climbing shoe since it allows my feet to not be "stressed" too much. The rubber is also very grippy; this is very noticeable when you smear on the wall. If you're a beginner or a climber who likes longer big wall climbs I recommend these pair of shoes. Also, I don't see a need to pick a shoe size higher than your current size. I'm a 9.5 and with the 9.5 climbing shoes and I feel alright.

Pretty stiff shoes perfect for small foot holds and slabs, not the best for toe hooks. Absolutely love them. Gave me so much confidence compared to rentals and got me to a V5 finally.

I'm unfortunately returning this item for being too small in size, i took half a size smaller than my street size which was a big mistake, i should have taken a half size or full size larger than my street size. even after a month of using them i couldn't stand up and walk while wearing them. Also felt great pain on my Achilles hill and it ripped my skin. I don't know if it would be a problem if i took the right size but i'll probably go for a model without a stiff hill support, thinking of scarpa helix, otherwise amazing shoes
