Building a new house I needed a lot of door knobs. I bought these and others for closets, bedrooms and entry lock doors. All were high quality and easy to install. They came with the right hardware and all work well. The price on Amazon is great for them and I saved a good bit getting everything here. I wanted the matte black look and I am pleased with the finish.

This is a great chrome, locking door knob. However, the size of our other slag door knobs are slightly larger, though still the same shape - but it looked too small in our hallway so we had to return and use different brand. I am sure they likely sell ones that match our exact door knobs, except locking in the store – I just preferred to have delivered. If you don’t mind that it’s a slightly smaller handle, it’s perfect.

I am replacing all the door knobs in a 54 yr old house we just bought and have miss matched and old hardware, I originally purchased a box of 6 at Lowes but they were smaller and didn’t fit, I ordered this Schlage in black and they fit perfectly, I’m going to spend a little more money than I want but it’s worth not to have to modify anything. They are of a better quality and are easy to install.

Amazon's photos of what is included in the box are severely lacking. I included a knolled photo of the box contents to save other people time. I had to spend undue time reading others' reviews to verify this purchase included the latch and strike plates, since Amazon's photos and descriptions have no mention.Second, the included instructions for how to change out the latch faceplate (from the pre-installed rounded edge to the square edge, in my case) caused immediate damage to my door latch. As instructed, I used a properly sized flathead to separate the brass faceplate from the stamped steel mounting bracket; what was unbeknownst to me is the manufacturer hard-staked the brass plate into place. There's no reason they had to do this. It took what should have been a 5 minute door handle replacement into a 45 minute task requiring a vise, a bastard edge file, jeweler's files, two pairs of Knipex pliers, and an extensive vocabulary of swear words to separate and re-straighten the door latch.In the end, it looks fine and is a quality Schlage door handle. But buyers beware if you are planning on changing to the sharp-edge or circular latch faceplate.

Good quality door knob for a decent price. The weight of it was nice and felt like it was made of good quality. I unfortunately sat it on the island while I was unpacking other items in the box and it rolled off and hit the tile floor. Put a small dent in the bottom of the handle but no worries, it is hardly noticeable and performs well. Just a tip, things that are round roll and this knob is no different.

We replaced our barn door in the master bath so had to buy the hardware. This doorknob is matte black as it states, the door opens and closes easily and the lock works great. It was easy installation.

These look great, and are amazingly solid. I'm not sure why my locksmith doesn't like them... they are way more solid than the knobs he peddles.
