It definitely has the ability to add a bit extra to a solo acoustic bit. Some of my higher resonance instruments have a tendency to activate it and cause it to buzz, but on the right guitar, and with the magnet in the proper location, helps fill out the sound nicely.

It has a nice little snappy snare sound to it. I don’t mic my guitar but I found It works best with a pickup that amplifies the guitar top, comes through the amp well that way. With an internal acoustic pickup it’s quiet and muffled through the amp. Very cool design and the sticky putty works great without affecting the guitar finish. No residue.

You can't rely on this thing for the stage performance. It falls off too often. The magnet won't even stay in place either. And the worst of all, it doesn't even sound good in the first place. The price tag is insane with this build quality. It's more like $50 top

I was really hoping that this product would work well with my electric/acoustic, meaning I was hoping my pickup would amplify it nicely, however, it did not. I use a looper, so the electric feature is important. Another issue is that the resonance of an acoustic guitar will make the snare inside this gadget vibrate, which creates a buzz if you're using a guitar with high acoustic resonance. I'm giving it two stars because the concept is cool. Just needs to be worked up.

When I received the product, I was quite disappointed. There was a very loud buzz no matter where we put the magnet. A few weeks later, we figured out that the snare wires were kind of tangled together. Using a pointy object, we managed to untangle them, and the problem was gone. You only get one magnet with the product. It is very easy to lose the magnet as it will fall and attach to nearby metal. This said, it is a fun device to have.
