I bought these to fit a Husqvarna Husky Lock 431. I only just required this serger and need needles for it. Not knowing too much about serger needles, I opted for this pack which is labelled "universal."Upon receiving these and comparing them to the one needle that came with the machine, I noticed right away that these needles are actually too large to fit into the needle slot on my serger, and the from of the package clearly says "ELx705". For some reason, someone has stuck a sticker on the back of the package that says it's universal. Yeah, universal for machines that take ELx705 needles... which makes them NOT UNIVERSAL FOR SERGER NEEDLES.Rude.I returned them with no issues... but beware! There is no "universal" serger needles. Make sure to get whatever number needle your machine actually needs. Oops!

After fighting with the cover stitch on our serger we found that only ELx705 needles can be used for the cover stitch. Regular needles may work for the overlock, not very well though, but not for the cover stitch. The people that we got our machine from were very helpful in explaining the difference.
