I installed this in a 1988 Mustang GT. My temp gauge was not working. I installed this sender and now it works. Simple enough

Part worked but, I had to change the connector because the terminal stud where the connector slides over was bigger than the factory sensor. Had to replace the connector before the part would work.. had to order connector so vehicle was down for a few days over a simple repair.

Even Amazon check said it will fit to 1996 f250 7.5L, it didn't work. Thread is right but the electrical connector couldn't be connected. This has a black insulator, I need the one with green insulator that has a thin threaded stud.

Purchased this to replace the failing temp sensor in my 1992 4.0 Ranger.Thread pitch and fastener size was correct.Sensor plug was not- too big. I was already committed so I opened the stock sensor plug to make it work. The sensor electrode spins freely in the base housing. We'll see if it leaks.I'd recommend anything else. Dont modify your vehicle for a crappy sensor.

I was not getting a temp reading. I removed sensor. Ran under hot water and used multimeter to check resistance. The sensor was bad. I took old sensor out of old engine, did same test on old sensor, got a reading.
