I have loved newsprint paper since I first used it for math class in elementary school and was beyond thrilled to find this LINED version here on Amazon! This is truly wonderful paper for anyone looking to recreate the writing experience from their youth. It has the same thin feel to it but is strong enough that it does not rip when you erase and takes pencil and gel or ballpoint pen equally well. The paper is lined on both sides and is thick enough that you can use both sides without show through.Overall, if you're a lover of newsprint writing paper this is a must have. Seriously, it's awesome.

I was looking for simple lined paper to use with a fountain pen, and this was better than expected. Being newsprint paper I expected it to bleed badly. I couldn't write on both sides, but that was fine for me.

If like me, you prefer writing on a softer paper (as opposed to the "regular" notebook and loose-leaf type), this is the one. This is my favorite paper for note-taking and everything else. One important thing to know is that this is not white-white. It is more of a very light tan color. I show a photo with this next to a piece of white notebook paper & you can see the difference. I like the color because I don't like the sharp brightness of "regular" paper. (The yellow version of this same paper is a true yellow - much like the color of a yellow legal pad.)FEEL: It's very slightly thicker than a newspaper's texture but very close. It's just enough thicker that your pen doesn't rip through it and so that marker doesn't "wet" it down. I wrote on it with a Sharpie marker and, while I can see the ink on the other side, it didn't bleed onto the next page.I mainly use soft pencil leads and erasable pens in fine and medium points. The pencils don't show up well unless I use a harder lead. The pens show up beautifully and just glide over the paper without being too "loose" or "slippery".I have another set of newsprint paper (unlined) that is more for sketching and it tears and wrinkles too easily. I couldn't feed it through my Brother printer without it bunching up and causing paper jams. This one is just enough thicker that I can feed it through a printer (though I don't use it for the printer in general).I did use a manual 3-hole-punch so that I could put this into a binder and it works great - not easily tearing at the holes or anything. If you want something that has the benefits of newsprint but doesn't wrinkle, tear or bleed through as easily, this is the one. I got some in this white (off-white) and some in yellow. I like both and will use them interchangeably in my binders to differentiate between subjects.
