A Friend of mine introduced me to the 3M non-scratch Scotch Brite dishwasher wand well before the year 2000. I've always had one handy for any hand dish washing I had to do, even though I always use a dish washer. Sometimes I fill the reservoir with dishwashing liquid, but most of the time I don't. I replace the whole thing as needed, and replace just the head/scrubber, more often. I've given them as gifts and convinced my husband of their worth. They are a great value and work well.

I want to be clear that I would never recommend the use of a sponge for your overall cleaning as they are known to breed germs and bacteria. However, I use these to rinse my dishes before putting them in the sink and dishwasher and find them very effective for this purpose.This dishwand is fantastic for cleaning all my kitchenware, especially non-stick cookware, without causing any scratches or damage. The non-scratch scrubber is tough on grease and food residue but gentle enough to use on delicate surfaces. It's perfect for my non-stick pans, and I don't have to worry about ruining the coating.The ergonomic design of the dishwand makes it comfortable to hold. It’s easy to grip and maneuver. We do not have a dishwasher - well, actually we do - it's me - ha ha! Since we do not have a working dishwasher this dishwand is the perfect alternative. It dispenses the soap as you wash the item - the non scratch sponge works great. I have been using one of these for I don't even remember how many years - highly recommend and will be using this wand for years to come.

While trying to remove the cardboard tag so I could fill it with soap, a piece of plastic broke off under the blue scrubber head. This meant I had to throw it away, which caused a little bit of cursing/high blood pressure raise. Unbeknownst to me, there were some extra scrubber heads under the kitchen sink so I was able to slide one on easily, probably because there was no cardboard in it. I'm not sure about the durability...but the price was good. Get what you pay for, maybe?

I know we live in a disposable world where everything is created to be sold, used, then discarded however, this Scotch-Brite Dishwand sucked! I purchased it because of its' brand name and thought, "This should last a while..." Boy, was I wrong. The sponge started to detach quickly. Maybe this is the 'lemon' from the production line. I just expected it to last longer than a month. And, I only used it to wash dishes; didn't even try it for cleaning kitchen, bathroom, and Household blah, blah, blah...
