These are my go-to sponges for dishes. They last over 30 days without breaking down. They don't damage pots. Even though they are treated, they still smell a bit after a couple days but I just went and nuke them for 60 secs.

I'm a long-time user of the Scotch-Brite "wave" sponge, which in the traditional form was perfectly safe on my non-stick and stainless steel pans. I found the swirls of "scrub dots," which are basically tiny bits of rubber, have no scrubbing power of their own, and because they are all over and protrude from the scouring pad, really prevented the pad from making good contact with the pans and doing its job. Fine for cups and glasses, but I continue to find that when I'm washing my non-stick pans it skids over grease and does not grab onto any stuck-on bits. I found it took 3-4 times longer to get a clean surface to rinse with these versus the traditional version of this pad. I'm going back to that.
