I got this canoe from Dunahm's for 279 on end of year clearance. For that price this is a great boat. I'm a big guy 6' and 300 lbs and I have no problems paddling solo from the middle seat or with another person. It does not come with the dry storage and cooler. It is super stable. I'm always fishing on lakes where you have kids running motor boats and they don't care if their wake flips anyone. So far I've stayed dry. I'd highly recommend getting some sort of seat cushion to make long days fishing more enjoyable. For 500 dollars or more I'd get an old town solo canoe, but for what I paid you can't beat it.

The dimensions of this boat are key - it is just small enough to fit on the roof rack of my small SUV. That is what makes it great - no other canoes similar to it were small enough.Otherwise the design is very poor. The flat back slopes slightly down, with a 65-lb thrust electric motor on full water will be about 1 inch from spilling over the stern. Even with small waves - water is spilling over the back. This forces the person in back to instead sit on the floor of the canoe to shift more weight to the center of the boat - thus raising the stern slightly more out of the water. Fortunately the electric engine holds still on full so this can easily be accomplished in a lake and you can simply lean the boat side to side to steer.

Do not by the recommended package offered with this canoe. The seats in the package do not fit the canoe benches. No way to get the straps long enough to secure to the bench. Amazon needs to check this out before they sell it as a full ready to go package. Now we have the hassle of repackaged the seats and sending them backðŸ™and we have no back support while fishing in our new canoe

I purchased the Sundolphin SS about three weeks ago. I had it out on the water last weekend and was pleased by the experiance. Handled smoothly in the water and with me rideing solo it was very stable. The canoe had plenty of extra cargo room and with 6 fishing rod holders haveing multiple fishing rods in the water was simple. The only complaint that I can think of is it was missing a "rivet" on one side the gunrail when I brought it home. Overall it seems to be well worth the money. Other online reviews I have read say that "plastic canoes" should last 10-15years with proper care-storage. Cant really go wrong with this canoe for under $500.

As another customer said, there is no cooler under any seat. What appears to be cuphoders are fishing rod holders with holes too small for any cup or can.The transom appears study enough for a small electric trolling motor but there is no provision for tying down a storage battery to power the motor, so what good is the square stern and transom?I recommend the KI industries 156 instead. It does have a cooler under the center seat. It does have cup holders. It is 1.5 feet longer for more stability and it is available from Walmart for about $450.

Only used twice but its a great canoe for the price and I even got it shipped for free. It's very stable in the water a little slow to paddle but thats what the square stern is for and why I bought it. Only other complaint would be the flimsy carring handles. They have alot of flex so you just have to be careful not to over tighten on them when strapping to the roof of your vehicle.Over all I would recommend this canoe.
