Bought this for my 11 year-old son before traveling to Hawaii for his first snorkeling adventure. We were planning to do some open water snorkeling and this was perfect for him and us parents. We could see and identify him among the waves and others in the water and he didn't worry about being in deep water. He never did need to inflate it fully but it helped support him when he needed to clear or adjust his mask. We were either deep or over sensitive coral so standing was not an option. Fit well without restrictions. Never used the pockets as he had a waterproof camera on a wrist lanyard. It isn't a toy and doesn't look like one so there was never resistance in wearing. As a result he was able to snorkel some of the best locations in Hawaii.

We went snorkeling with our kids. We purchased one of these vests for each of our kids. We really like the bright color as it made it very easy to keep an eye on them. The kids said it fit comfortably and had no complaints. You can adjust the straps and control how much air you put in the vest to help fit the comfort and float rate. After using this for a couple of days some sand got into and around the air valve opening. It was very difficult to remove the sand that got into the grooves. This made it more difficult to blow air and release air from the valve. I think if this company can figure out a solution to this issue it will likely be a perfect snorkeling vest for kids.
