This Firecore bit has a wedge-shaped blade which is thin near the tip and thickens towards the back. This is different from my usual SDS-plus tile bit which has a blade that has the same thickness front to back. This wedge shape does not make a big difference when taking out tiles, but makes a huge difference when taking out flexible and semi flexible materials like linoleum or underlayment. The wedge shape separates and peels the material off, and prevents the bit from getting stuck. The grooves on the blade further help keep the bit from getting stuck. I little longer bit (15-incher) would have been better. Despite the shortness, I’m really satisfied with this bit’s performance.

The great thing about this SDS Plus Chisel is the size. We have a lot of rocks in our soil and you never know what you’ll encounter when you start digging. I’ve used this chisel with my hammer drill to bust up rocks as we were digging our water feature and our gray water drain. I’ve also used it as we work on our fence rehab to help me clear any obstructions for fence post repair spikes. Lastly, for large mortar lines on our pool desk, this chisel makes short work of busting those up as we replace all of the mortar on our pool deck.All the stars on this - it is a gamer!

I had to remove some glue-down wood flooring in a limited space and this chisel fits the bill. The size is much smaller than I expected but worked perfectly for me. We have small closet with glue-down wood floors that needed to be removed, after trying to rip it up with a pry bar and oscillating tool, I tried this chisel and it was easily the most effective with least effort. It still take some time but was much more effective, the edge stayed sharp during the 30 minutes or so of use. I'll be using for a bigger project sometime next year, because it is so small, the use case will be limited, however for detailed work it's certainly a nice tool to have.

Looks and feels heavy duty. I got this chisel after finishing my tile project but now I am ready for my next one. Fits DEWALT SDS plus perfect. Good price point.

This chisel makes quick work of breaking up tile. It take no time at all to break it up thanks to the chisel tip being pretty sharp and not going dull.

Ein sehr guter Meißel der alles abbekommt wie Fliesen, Vinylboden, Linoleumböden oder PVC etc.Passt in jede Bohrmaschine mit SDS - PLUS Bohrfutter.Bei mir gab es keinerlei Probleme den Meißel ins Bohrfutter zu stecken. Im Gegenteil, wie bei allen anderen Bohrern bekannter Marken flutschte auch dieser Meißel nur so rein und ließ sich auch genauso leicht wieder aus dem Bohrfutter entnehmen.Er ist etwas kurz, weshalb ich mich erst noch dran gewöhnen musste, denn die normalen Meißel sind ja doch etwas länger. (Dafür aber nicht so breit)Auch das er ein wenig abgewinkelt ist war erst mal neu, aber nach ein, zwei Minuten läuft es dann wie gewohnt.>> Ich bin nur normale Meißel gewöhnt und hatte so etwas noch nicht. War immer Schnickschnack für mich.Jetzt muss ich sagen, dass mir dieser leichte Winkel recht gut gefällt und man die Bohrmaschine nicht so Schräg halten muss wie früher. Besonders praktisch bei Arbeiten an Fußböden. (Rückenfreundlicher) ;-)Meine Befürchtung jetzt, das der Meißel beim nächsten Einsatz nicht aufzufinden ist und ich wieder zum alten greifen muss.Auch wenn ich mich an den Winkel und die geringe Länge gewöhnt hatte, würde ich mir den Meißel etwas länger wünschen. Dann wäre er perfekt in meinen Augen.Natürlich ist es kein Wundermittel, wie manch einer hier so euphorisch behauptet. (Rezensionen aus anderen Ländern) Auch mit diesem Meißel bekommt man nicht alles auf Anhieb ab. Bei Fließen z.B. mit einem dicken Mörtelbatzen (Dickbettverfahren) oder bei Vinylböden bei dem der Klebstoff von irgendeinem Hobbyhandwerker so dermaßen großzügig aufgetragen wurde, bekommt auch dieser Meißel Probleme.Wie bei allem, muss der Nutzer auch hier noch selbst Hand anlegen und der Meißel arbeitet nicht von alleine. ;-)Mal schauen wie lange er lebt und seine Arbeit macht, denn bis jetzt finde ich ihn klasse und für 16 Euro auch noch günstig, wenn ich bedenke was BOSCH, HILTI und CO. kosten.Ich vergebe aktuell 5 Sterne und kann sagen, dass ich ihn behalten und weiter testen werde. Dafür dass ich erst mal skeptisch war, mag ich ihn schon ein wenig.Sollte sich noch etwas ändern, positiv wie negativ, werde ich es nachreichen. Ich aktualisiere meine Bewertungen auch nach Jahren noch.PS: Warum wurde der Meißel in zwei (!) Plastiktüten verpackt ? Damit er keine Kratzer bekommt ? ;-) Zumal die Haupt-Plastiktüte so dick und stabil ist, das einem die zweite völlig unnütz vorkommt. Ich bin kein Klimaaktivist, aber bei manchen Sachen kommen Fragen in mir auf, wie z.B. warum ein Meißel doppelt verpackt wird.(Ich will es ja nur verstehen)

Guter und günstiger Meißel zum entfernen von Gips, Putz, Kacheln von Wänden und Boden.Für Fliesenkleber oder ähnliches ist er nicht wirklich zufriedenstellend, da muss im Nachgang eine dünnere Klinge her.Aber hat seinen Zweck erfüllt Würde ich wieder kaufen.

Firecore SDS Plus Chisel 195mm x 70mm, SDS Chisel Bits, SDS Tile Chisel FS2465 £16.99I have a number of SDS chisels but all of them are blunt at the end. They tend to pulverise the brick or concrete rather than cut into it (with debris and dust flying all over the place), and I have to resort to a hand held Cold Chisel but which is sharp at the end. I have been on the lookout for a sharp SDS chisel, and the Firecore chisel is just the job.I am due to add an additional mains socket in a living room wall, I use a diamond cutter to cut two parallel slots and a small hand chisel to cut out the middle, but for the socket I needed a good chisel to get the depth which the diamond cutter can't reach.The fact that the blade is offset at an angle is a bonus, as the slot is horizontal but low down, and I can angle the drill downwards but get a horizontal cut.When I have done that job I will report back, but for now I can tell that it will do the job for which it was designed.Price point: there are similar offset SDS chisel blades for less money on Amazon, some at 25° and some at 15°. Unless you need the angle to be 20° you can save money.As to design Five stars from me.
